The recent "hackings"

Hackings is probably the wrong word.

The recently compromised accounts is better.

Other than having NO Gold card (information here Entropia Universe Security: Buy a Gold Card), is there another common factor with these incidents?

Would help a lot if we knew what the common factor was between these separate incidents.

Makes me wonder. I saw three such messages today, and have wondered what may be the common element if there is one.

I have not been able to get in world for a few days because of RL, but after the second had to log into the website to check my inventory. I have a gold card, and know these did not, but I still had that compelling urge to check.

I am very curious of any of them have any clues as to how they may have been compromised so that can be passed along.

i asked the same question in the hacking thread. what might he have done that would have comprimised his computer?

getting a computer hacked or bugged on a generic level isn't uncommon.

getting a computer hacked and entropia comprimised is a different thing. many many people have no idea about what entropia is, what and how things are worth money - let alone how to pull it out.

whatever the common thread, it won't be a generic macro program, but something likely tailored to entropia. a website. a clicker. a bot. a hof tracker, etc.

at one point one of the recent hacked stated he was given software from a avatar that would enable him to HOF more often. search is your friend, if you are interested. i will find the thread later if no one else does.

I had someone meet me in game and we went to yahoo to chat latter, 5 min latter after we were done chating there I get a yahoo PM from someone else in the game that should have never know who I was. I was on guard at that point and knew both of them were dirty. they wanted my Xfire name so they could get my IP address, even asked me directly for my IP. needless to say there both blocked from all my accounts now. Guard your IP delete Xfire I don't know if Xfire was fixed but it used to save your game passwords to launch directly from Xfire.

However, a dynamic IP adress, Router and good (updated) anti virus prog and anti spy-ware prog pretty much takes care of "the kids in middle school". A good Firewall might be a good idea too.

It seems unlikely these latest two cases are from get ped quick schemes. very worrying. gold card is your friend here.

Harley Sweety Jolly- RIP- HACKED-SCAMMED

I am the avatar Harey sweety Jolly. I wanted to tell my story. I had been corresponding with a guy from Romania for over a year who told me he use to play EU. and we exchanged pictures and I thought became friends. On Dec 19, 2007 he sent me a file with some pictures of Romania in them and I didn't think any thing about it... THen Dec 20 2007 I get a call from my son, who plays EU, who tells me Sweety is in Argus scamming people....I was at work... So when I got home i got on EU and sweety's soc was asking so many questions.. I looked in my inventory and I had NOTHING, except some bps, and esi inserter. So i ran to the storage... all most everything was GONE!!

in this case it was a archive of pictures with a trogan attached.
