So, the question is simple; Dose anyone know how to uninstall this program?
I have pretty much looked everywhere and i still got no clue how to do it. I know by experiance that deleting programs which in some way "KEEP TRACK" of my internet is a bad misstake since it tends to lock internet down on that computer in some wierdo way. this excludes my option of useing the tool "unlocker" and delete that folder. Anyone got a suggestion how to get it away from my comp? .___. The option of totaly turing northon off in 360 seems to have been completly removed too. |

I had a computer that got infected with a virus that was runiing Norton 360(the virus gained access by user error not by any defect in Norton's software-Norton warned but the user ignored those warnings)--anyway this virus actually attacked Norton and left it corupt and displaced. In order to fix it I had to repair Norton first then i removed it and re-installed.
To repair it simply go to the control panel and click "Programs and features" for Vista or "Add or Reomve Programs" for XP. Follow the prompts but your looking to repair it--In some cases it may actually remove it and re-install the whole thing but No worries--after the reinstall is complete you will be able to fully Un-install it. Basically the Unistall tool is on the disc and is one of the areas of the program that gets hit hard by a virus that attacks it. If no disc is available, as others have posted, you can get the uninstall tool online from them too. I have found using the original disc to be an easier more secure way of getting it done though. Good Luck m8. |

I'm still waiting to hear the first success story regarding uninstalling a Norton application entirely and clean. That bugger sticks in the system like nothing else. The obvious best choice still is to reinstall the entire OS and NEVER install that Norton thing again.
Sad but true. |

my last resort is to manually delete the files one by one, but the downside with this is that im SURe that they have some files in the windows system32 map not named so i can find them by a simple serch. ![]() |

I had a free few months of norton and i though 'hey it's for free, if i don't like it i'll just remove '.
I was damn wrong, norton was more disrupting than any other computer virus i have had and there is no way to remove it without that tool. ![]() |
