Question: hypothetical Hacking of a Gold card protected account

What will MA Do in this Case since the GC system is supposedly secure.

Scenario Clean Installed comp with Normal apps a EU player will use such as Xfire, Vent, TS,

Player has a valuable account Never has Shared the Account Gold card protected. the account has a Seldom used Email address.

Said Player logs in and finds all Skill items stolen the account wiped completely

player does the usual support case to MA.

the method used to Hack the account is beside the point yes there are many possibilities. For the sake of RE securing the GC system MA would need to know how But what Would MA do period.

REMEMBER THIS IS A FICTIONAL CASE ONLY.

I would love to have an MA official Respond to this thread. Official Info Much appreciated in This scenario.

I'm sure it would depend from case to case too, depending on the exact circumstances and the perseverance of the victim.

Given the scenarios in the OP I reckon there's about as much chance as that hypothetical account getting hacked as someone stealing my motorbike from my garage.

So the chances of MA actually responding to it are even less likey than normal.

(How can it be MAs fault if you visit some fake EU site or download files that contain keyloggers ? Then you have already done the 1st step.)

And if you think of individual GoldCard hacking someone would need to get MAs database. (I would expect MA to announce somethin by then) ;p

I have to say that I believe Most people that Own a GC System Wouldn't be as stupid to do stuff like visiting a non official site for Downloading software to supposedly come from MA. Nor would they download something from someone they dont trust. no matter the source.

I don't see the point of this thread...

But to I think we can talk about two cases.

In case 1 you have to actualy grab the users GC and use or, make a copy of it.... and this is cleary the user fault... so I guess MA will do nothing. Maybe they track the item/skill movement and lock the withdrawing avatar(s).

In the other case... you have to mess on MA side and get the account datas and sync codes from their computers.
Well, I think if someone would succeed with this MA would run around in browned pants, pulling their hair out then commiting mass suicide like lemmings.
But someone with the skills able to do this, why would mess accounts with few k dollars worth, when able to ripoff any bank for millions?
