Maybe you just got some "delayed" message about VF logoff.
Maybe his avatar was "stuck" and not logged off properly in time.
Maybe MA was messing something.

It doesnt mean there was any hack.
Hope support will answer this.

I experienced something similar with an avi logging in and out. First i was scared that she was hacked, because she didn't respond to any pm's. After talking to some friends we figured out that this avatar only did appear as being online for a few ppl. She did not show as being online for all who had her on her fl. The logging in and logging out did happen about five or six times during this day until the person really logged in, then the problems were fixed. She appeared on all fl's. She has a gc, too.
Probably you suffered from the same bug...

Well in that case it means some people must think some other people are SO rude not to answer pms I had heard about logging off issues and faced them myself a year ago with a friend's avi being stuck in front of me for hours in middle of a hunt, but that... is scary

could it be that MA is developing some sort of AI for the avatars to want to log on by themselves,want to be alive and carry out thier daily matters without us controling them? does this mean someday ill log on and find that my avatar hit a hof on his own?

My guess is that it is a bug. This kind of bug where Avatars appear to log in and out has been around for years.

I hope that is the case.

First off - NotVF is ViagraFalls since his old account here on EF was deleted. He made a new account for my sake only to be able to respond in my "art"-thread!

Secondly - VF hasn't been logged into EU for quite a while - more than a week - so it must be a hell of a delay...

Thirdly - as VF pointed (NotVF) - his avatar is totally empty, and have been so since before Christmass, and he also wrote that in here and told people about it, so yes, it is very weird that anyone wishes to hack into his avatar!

And no, I didn't log into VF's avatar this morning because of two reasons: 1) I always ask VF first 2) I was heading work and didn't have time.

I don't know if a bug could have done this - but I doubt it? Usually I check who is online as the first thing - but this morning I didn't because i was in a hurry and because I saw only 4 was on. I must admit I was quite baffled to see VF logging out - and asked him immidiately on msn if he was able to log in without the GC - which of course he isn't!

Basicly, as I write, Peter is about to move from Holland to Denmark. He allowed me to log into his avatar, which is empty from his outchipping etc., to add people to School of Lootius in which he is the leader of. More so because he hardly has time and will be here in 1 1/2 months anyway.

This morning I log into EU and right after I see ViagraFalls leaving EU. I write him on msn at once to ask him if he was in the game, since I have his GoldCard on my shelf. He told me he didn't, and haven't been online since he was at my place last time, were he chipped out a few last skills.

We both find this very weird and we are very concerned. Me mostly, because I also have a GC and lot's of items and skills I have been struggling to get "back" after I chipped out last year too. I bought the GC to make sure that I would not loose any of it.

As you see from the thread, we are not the only people being concerned, of course.

Since there is nothing on VF's avatar which can be stolen, of course, it is difficult to see if anyone hacked in though I will try, with VF's permission, to log in tonight to see if his avatar was moved (he met me last time in PA auction center).

If it IS a bug then please fix it? Or at least make people aware about it. A lot of people are relying on the GC system - and it would be quite hell if it shows that people can hack your GC.
