Account hacked, please help!

Hi everyone. About 2 hours ago i was hunting gradivores when i got logged out due to a connection error. Since then i have been unable to log back in and keep getting the "your avatar is already logged on"

I've filed a support case to MA but i would like to ask the EF community to please NOT buy from "Chris Chaps Chappell" until further notice. No doubt if my account has been hacked, the hacker will be looking to sell all my gear on the streets or put on auction for low BO's

common enough problem, sadly ... hopefully everything is fine and you'll be back in as soon as MA gets their work done =)

Its possible your not hacked, still. Unfortunally its a problem that sometimes occur, specially if youve been booted or ctd'ed out. If your not hacked it'll sort itself out or MA will fix it.


If you ARE hacked then I really hope you do have a goldcard.

If you get disconnected and then is unable to log on, it's probably a problem at MA's end. If you come back from work and can't log on... that's different

Yes, same happened to me, logged out, couldn't log back in for the rest of the day as it said I was already logged in. Checked with my sis as she was the only other one likely to use my account that knew the UN/PW and it wasn't her.

Next day could log in again as normal, nothing had changed and I was exactly where I logged out. I'm sure it's just a problem MA's end and u've not been hacked at all.

You're not hacked.

When you lose connection sometimes, the server thinks you are still there, and until gets to a timeout with no input from you, you avi is still logged and doing whatever you were doing.

when the timeout hits with no input from your side of the connection, it will automatically log you out.

Once I was running through PvP 1 when I lost connection.
When I was able to get back in, I was south of swamp camp, dead, and surrounded by a bunch of mobs from PvP1 that had apparently chased me down and kilt me.

I had same problem on TI few days ago , send them a suport . U need to wait about 15-20 h or so .

Well yes i was running at the time of the connection time out so that could have something to do with it. Thanks guys for pointing out that it may be just a problem with MA and not an actual hack, makes me feel a hell of a lot better

I don't have a gold card yet because i haven't really got much ped in my name. I'd say my avatar with absolutely everything including skills would be worth maybe $200. I will be getting one in the near future though

$200USD is the perfect time to be getting a goldcard IMHO

If you can log in to the EU website you can check your gear (and propably are NOT hacked) if there is something missing or not.
