I heard he is getting the peds from all the clicks from the mice manufacturers. But he only gets ped from the actual decay of the clicker when clicking on his signature.

Don't forget to think about the value of your skills too Herb. Many times an avi is stripped of those in addition to items.

Back to OP:

I noticed that an email address with [Deleted] was mentioned. Although I do not know [Deleted] I do know he has a very good reputation in EU and spends a lot of time on CP. Someone may have taken his good name and made a Yahoo account to exploit it, but from all I have heard and read about him in my time in PE/EU I have never heard anything that would lead me to believe he would do something like this.

Good luck in sorting it all out and like has been said many times before - use caution when getting software from other people, make sure all your computer protections are up to date and working and get a gold card if your avi is worth more than the cost of the gold card.

Think about the gold card as the cost of a boxed computer game you buy in the store. The day you get your uber or ATH may be too late to order it because of the time itt takes to receive. Imagine if your account was compromised and the hacker was just waiting to see your name scroll by on the HOF or ATH before logging on and stripping it.

Last - if you do not have a gold card I would be extremely cautious about posting that fact in public.

TRUE ! But must tell: If MA will be respond promptly at the moment when I solicited a new password... almoust none of theat will be NOT happend. MA even today, after almost 5 days did not answer to my passwoed change request. And theat is sadly one of the reson who let this hakers to work, because they have time, until hacked people can resecurize their account. On other sites the pass can be changed instantly.. but here after 5 days ... no answer. Theat is no concern about players and is sad

you did verify in your account informstion that this person did not change your email address to somethig else correct? Another great thing about the Gold card is that in order to even change your personal information on the main EU site you have to log-in with the gold card. That way these hackers cannot re-direct the support mail to another address and maintain the control they have over the account. If you haven't checked that I would asap. It is usually the first thing they do.

If MA had responded immediately when you sent support case it was probably too late. How long does it take to offload your inventory to another avatar? A matter of minutes unless you have things stored in an apartment or two as well. Strike that the deed is all that has to be transferred and all items in the apartment go with it. Just a matter of minutes to transfer all those things. It would take a bit longer to strip skills, but if the hacker was prepared, had all items needed it would not take long at all to strip the skills.

You would need to know within a few minutes that you were compromised, log onto the support page, type the support case explaining what was going on, submit it and still enough time would pass from your end that if MA acted immediately and locked the account most of your items would have been gone.

You stated you asked for password change, not a lock. Did you do it from a different computer than the one that was infected with the trojan?

Not trying to rub salt in the wound, I feel for you, but I can not see ANY blame on the part of MA for this.
