It's very nice for the seller that this dna part reached 120k.

Tho I'm very sad about this as Entropia will be bipolar in terms of DNA innovation from now on. There is no creativity when everything is in the hands of 2 people.

For me simple land owner, there is no way i'm gonna invest that much money on a single DNA as it would require another DNA to make a good spawn AND it would take like 5 years to pay back.

my only hope is then to loot 2 or 3 tails ^^

of course not

to have a good spawn I'd need 2 DNA so say approx 240K peds

I have 2 LAs :

one next to a tp with plenty little trox => great spawn, many people like that area and there's no way I'm gonna change it to armax to receive exactly the same income. so basically 240K peds lost if I put them there.

the other one is far from a TP:
definitly if I put armax stalker there, people will come for sure. and I will have some better income, I calculate it would take me 5 years to pay the DNA back which is already very high and I have the risk that someone else get also some armax DNA and put them on a close to TP area, killing them my spawn and profit.

the risk is too high and profit certainly not worth 120k / dna (for me).

Value of a LA is determined by it's income / position / DNA ... and actually if I had a close to TP LA free of mobs I'd prefer pay 40k peds for 4 MOlisks DNA rather than 120 k peds for 1 armax DNA, I would make more money for sure (unless I buy 4 armax dna :p).

Your reasoning is still whack tho. You keep talking about the DNA to pay for itself, and thats not really an issue since its an asset. Youd only have to worry about making an investment pay for itself if:

1. It will decay or in other ways be made worthless after a period of time.

or

2. After purchase it loses a very large piece, or all, of its monetary value.

And neither is correct. You buy the DNA for 100k today, and in 3 years you sell your LA for 200k instead of 100k which you would have gotten without the DNA in question. To this you can add the revenue for the 3 years that passed, and that money is all profit due to the fact the DNA is still an asset.
