Please include within the initial plan (best to place in a notation that this will be provided upon the application form) an estimative figure of loss which is to be propotioned over all investments. With this part, be very careful what you decide to do here,
It can turn into a double edge sword and a correct gauge of those wish to attract into the fund will need to be somewhat assumed.

On one side, it will attact the more business savvy and business orientated mindset style of person which will also drive the marketing of passing the word style advertising of the fund from like-minded to like-minded people.

On the other hand, it can deter people and cause a negative impact effect within the community.

There is my own assessment as a generalisation of the type of people you will find as part of the masses which make up the EU community, very much as it is so in the real world. Though I will not state it directly here as it may incur me a neg rep

Instead, the clue to my *gauging of the masses* which you will find in Entropia (upto this point in time, of which is quickly changing as time progresses) can be found in the PS statement in a past post made.

Pointing this out so you consider your options into this carefully.

Items to address:

1. In the exit strategy, investment recovery needs to be addressed ( in regards to the fund failing and seeing how much people can get back)

2. Language in the Business Plan

" Let’s say we hold steady at 4 Land Areas generating 6,000 PED monthly on average. " - This language is too informal. It could read something like " Provided the Fund obtains 4 Land areas..."

3. 6k is a pretty ambitious forecast (perhaps too ambitious) also considering it will take a while to gather the funds + the implementation of the new planet/space

4. Perhaps have the Q&A added to its own section rather than tagged on the end of the Business Plan

5. Remove the form the end of the Business Plan and have a form on the site where they can just fill in the fields and hit Submit. Automate it.

Just suggestions

Such strategies as incorporation of an LLC when deemed viable by the board of the fund. You will want to make this point clear within the initial plan document.

Basically lay out as many cards as possible to bring awareness to the long term goals of the Fund.

Alright, I've made several changes to the Business Plan and re-uploaded it.
I also took out the Q&A and created it's own PDF which can be found by clicking the box next to the business plan box.

I'm gonna go to bed. Check out the changes and let me know. I did add a note to the financials but did keep them only because I think there really should be some form of numbers in there to describe what the plans are.

I'll check the forums upstairs and will respond tomorrow.

I also emailed the PR folks at Mindark earlier today, no response as yet.
I also sent a PM to 711 relating to possibly getting our own forum section on this forum but no response yet on that either. I just think it would be nice to be able to link to our own forum section from the main website to keep things organized instead of setting up our own forums and dealing with that. Plus it would get new users to these forums where they will find other helpful information. So we'll see what EF thinks about that.

Mindark has no problems with my press campaign so long as I dont use the Entropia Universe boilerplate without permission and have forwarded my other questions to the appropriate departments.

I plan to begin accepting official investments on August 1st, 2008 at which point the clock will start ticking in regards to our goals and time frames.

Hi Jason,

I am still having issues with section 6, Financial plan.

I feel stringly that the concept with financial model should be described with words and without using set numerical examples.

Then as a seperate part to this, with this section, using the 6k ped assumptive approx you have indiciated as an example (and make it clear as such to this being only an example) to demonstrate the concept & financial model in action.

Having the two tied in bed with one another as you have presented can have people tieing those figures into their minds as set expections while visualising the described model upon which most shall determine and pass judgement upon the viability of the model and hence their vested interest into investing within. (Also potentially creating a barrier for most that the set numerical value used will be the limit to what can be achieved.)

'An example of the above can be seen demonstrated in a previous post by Turnsleft on page 11'

Humans are very strange creatures when it comes to the mental processes involved with visualisation, especially when calling into action the other hemisphere to do the mathematical and logical analysis. (Also being the same centres invoked for the assessment/judgement and decision making processes)

The goal being, to keep the brain using the creative centres as much as possible without invoking the logical centres too much, of which invoking the logical centres can almost cause a conflict of interest when it comes to the initial visualisation of how something works.

The logical/mathematical centres can be happily invoked once the initial visualisation process has been completed and locked into the persons memory.

Anyhow, something to think about for when it comes to marketing the Fund concept & model to the masses

PS. I am not asking you to hide any information. Not at all. Just get the induced thought order process right in your approach to marketing this Fund as a viable investment to likely investors. Try not to limit your approach by *reducing the likeliness* of the investor a) setting limits and/or create mental barriers b) starting the judgement and decision making process too early on in the piece.

Hmm, just wonder where you went? Entropia Investment Fund (EiFund) has a rather good site and you get pretty much information just to visiting http://www.eifund.net (http://www.eifund.net/T3). If you become a member and investor you get even more information. I good idea is to cklick on Investment and Information.

Very interested to see how things will work out on August 1st. I'm definitely a real noob and I have to admit what most of the vets say regarding the complexity of the game and the time it takes to learn just the basics is extremely time-consuming is spot on. I've been assigned to learn as much as possible about EU and after 30 hours a week of research and play for three weeks, I'm still pretty clueless.

Nevertheless I look forward to some updates on the status of EH!
