Everything in EU has some form of risk attached to it, I shall take a careful look into your proposed roadmap upon the site you are dedicating to this project.

As far as those with knowledgable experience, there are a number of well established participants that you will find here on EF that are able to help you with the project with regards to LA management and event management upon those LAs.

With that reasoning there would only be one society in EU. Why create one yourself when you can join one created by someone else? Seriously, with that reasoning there wouldn't be many companies IRL at all.

I believe he has already gone through this process and has responded as such. If you wish to gain further clarity as to the reasons he has not and wish to have a more elaborate answer to why not, I suggest you PM directly about it.

Your posting DeeDee seem to be somewhat upon the side of join EIFund or I will not trust you and announce this based upon Jason having not joined.

Diversification of such funds within EU is always a good thing, Jason from his initial writeup is taking quite a different approach to investment and growth plans of his fund. He is also looking for best methods of practice to ensure protection for the members/investors of the fund along with the establishment of a voice that makes him only *part* of the final decision making process through a board which is elected through a nomination and voting process by the members of the fund.

Ofc I am not suggesting anyone rush into this fund, I myself am only *tentatively* committing 1000 PED initially, to be confirmed upon roadmap information and a clearer picture of this roadmap of planned activities & organisational structure of the proposed fund.

Actually I did.

When I first thought of this concept I asked the SOC I'm in what everyone thought about it and was pointed to the EntropiaFund.com site. I went eagerly awaiting to be awed at the opportunity only to find a broken site with no information and no contact options and decided, I could do much better on my own.

There is a set of risks associated with such a concept certainly. If we are able to achieve our main goal, there will be a great deal of real money at stake here.

Some things I can assure you.

#1. As investments are being made, it will be stored on my account and not touched, used, or in any way played with until we have obtained enough PED through investments to make our planned purchases.

#2. If someone makes and investment and decides within a week they would like to change their mind, the money will be there for them and will be returned. I say within a week because I'd hate to continue going up and down in terms of nearing our goal because someone needs a little ammo money and didn't plan accordingly or something.

#3. Yes, there is risk. We could achieve all of the investment finances we need to purchase our first LA only to find there being 50 new LA's in better locations pop up and drop the initial value of ours. It could happen. I could be mugged on the street and die of a fatal gunshot wound to the head and nobody would have any idea and my name would burn in history as a scammer (thats for you dramatic folks, hehe). There is risk in anything we do in life from taking a shower or going for a jog down Martin Luther King BLVD at Midnight. You can however take educated risks and enjoy the ride.

Like I said, this isn't a short term thing. It may take 6 months for us to gather up the funding we need to actively pursue our first venture.

One thing I tell my wife all the time, never assume anything...

Don't assume this will or won't work. If you think it can, help us figure out how. If you think it can't, tell us why it won't so we can make adjustments.

This whole concept was born out of hearing so many people in my SOC talk about how impossible it was for the average Joe to accomplish anything great in this game without a boat load of deposits. Well, I plan to prove that it can be done with a collective effort and that's really all there is to this.

Several people are waiting for a plan in order to be convinced to participate. The plan is to purchase an LA, develop the land for profit and save up to repeat. If you are interested in this concept and want to get involved, then by all means offer your experience and help guide the collective effort with your wisdom. It's what this is all about!

If anyone is interested in furthering the message of this fund, I would love to get a banner up on this site. So if you don't see yourself ever using your EFD for anything, by all means I'd love to put it to good use.

One major reason that I myself haven't invested in EIFund, the price of the shares, 650 ped.

More people would be apt to buy shares if they were more reasonably priced compared to the existing company. That is the whole reason IRL stocks split, to keep the prices affordable for the common investor.

The ideal price of a stock to get more people involved would be 50 ped. That way more people would be willing to invest since they can own a part of the fund for as little as $5 US. People would also be more willing to buy multiple shares both at once, and multiple times.

In regards to the LLC, sure if all done on one's own shoulders, managing an LLC, and multiple at that, can be a lot of work.

But what I have thought in the past in regards to this, if a fund were to be set up what I believe is the right way, once the names (ava and real names) are taken, an initial IRL cash pooling is accomplished to set up a LLC, the board and president are set up even before an ava is created in game. Based on the initial deposit for setting up the LLC, the initial shares are distributed of either a class A/B type of share, or something along that line.

Of course with any LLC, there are requirements for meetings, minutes, and other issues, but I also feel with this level of commitment in setting up a proper fund, the respect and trust will be backed up knowing that the risk to investors is minimal due to the transparency of the fund management.

Anyone can claim that they will never screw other people over, but I've seen it too many times IRL, and in these forums where someone uses the excuse they were hacked and no longer have any possessions. On that note, if the avatar owner of the EIFund decided one morning to sell everything off, and take the $ and run, what can anyone really do about it? I have watched the performance of the EIFund, and it seems to do quite well, but I personally have uneasy feelings about putting too much unsecured money in someone else’s hands with no safeguards beyond their word to protect my investment. A share of Toyota motor corp is the approximate same price as a share of EIFund, and I’m protected more legally of my investments.

With other corporations coming into the game in the future, I wouldn’t see why an LLC wouldn’t be able to part of the game as well. As long as MA makes their money.

Who knows, maybe someday the stock market up in Hadesheim maybe of use someday, with multiple in game investment funds, banks, corporations.

If the price of the shares for this fund are kept reasonable, I definitely would buy. The quantity I buy is commensurate with the trust I have in the said fund.

Remember make the shares affordable to the masses that way more can participate. If someone with a fat wallet wants to have their 50000 ped worth of stock, heck they still can, they’ll just have more shares than the person that can only afford a single share of say 50 ped.

Please consider this carefully Jason, it will open you up to greater advances in initial and ongoing investments from a number of us here looking for the security it provides.

Consult with MA upon this subject too, it will be an important step to properly setting up such an avatar to meet the LLC requirements.

Sure, I will place 500 EFD towards this as a starter, gave away another large amount this morning so that is all I have to offer at this time.

You can purchase large amounts of EFD from 711, best to send him a message PM in reference to this. I believe they can be purchased from one of the shops in Twin Peaks Mall from memory, titled, overpriced Mind Essesnce For the equated EFD amounts they resemble.

Again check with 711 via PM first.
