Trust me on this one.. just because you have known someone for even years and never would think he would scam anyone doesn't mean he wont. My old avatar was sold (when it was legal to do so) to a person i had known for years and played daily with for over 2.5 years. It then turned out to be the biggest scammer in pe history and many ppl got hurt by this but finally they sued him and i think they got their money. Thing is he still owe me ~500£ for my ava which i still haven't gotten. :/ atleast i got £1000 though.

But i really dont hope this turns out to be a scam though, but IF it does ppl should sue him as that could get you your money back.

I have tried to call his family several but it seems like we are in too different time zones. As far as I know "TylerDurden" is also trying to reach him by call. We'll just have to wait and see I guess

The business it is of mine is that it's a good idea and I wouldn't want to see it tarnished.

Personally I don't like the way Richard went about it. Gathering a large amount of PED over a short amount of time isn't the best way to go about it unless your willing to pay large amounts of money out of your own pocket in order to make up for PED lost in case your idea doesn't work out.

I don't think this was intended to be a scam, that is I don't think he collected a lot of PED without the intention of paying it back with interest.
I think the more likely situation is that he borrowed a large amount of PEDs from people, then found out that his sure fire way to make a return off it didn't work out so well, and now he's either trying to make up for the lost PEDs, or he walked away from the whole idea. Either way, I'd hate to see it go down like this.

I would like to get a hold of him for two reasons. 1 is to make sure every things alright, and the other is that if the fact of the matter is that he just got in a little over his head, I'd like to help him get out of the mess.

I don't see how a little help in the situation would hurt anybody?

you have been here for 11 days.
maybe stfu and wait is a good place to start.

11days ad 35 posts - maybe we should be running down your info and asking why you are so interested in a 10,000$+ fund your not invested in.

Or is this seen as a possible opportunity for your own investments biz?

so, does 20 or so days make me a little nervous? yes A LITTLE.
I would hate to see this go south, but many of us come here everyday and coming here every day can magnify the drama compared to checking once a week.
Am I worried? Yes, but not to the point of trying to track down his personal info and call him up, or flat out accuse him of stealing.
the past 3 days went from wondering to outright accusation and crime scene investigation.
what are you ppl doing? hedging your bet with a negative post to give yourself a little "I told you so" insurance?
I know, I only went in for 600p - so the amount of investment will = the level of anguish.
please chill out. You guys keep bouncing posts back and forth and get more and more worked up over it.
oh and if your not invested now, or did not invest b4 please STFU.

Yeah, that other post didn't have anything to do with what I'm doing as far as investments, that had to do with me being upset about MA taking away loan opportunities from honest people.

Yeah I am offering a different type of investment idea, and so far I'm the only other person offering one that gives a crap about anybody being ripped off in this which is looking more and more like a scam every day.

I'm also the only person that cares about the idea of investments being a great idea, and even thinking about a way to some how get some people at least some of their money back in case this does turn out to be a scam.

The whole reason I wanted to get a hold of RD, or at least get some kind of contact with him is in case it wasn't a scam. Maybe he did just get in a little over his head and now he's embarrassed to come back and admit it.
If that is the case then I'd be more then happy to help him out.

That makes me really unhappy and it's exactly what I don't like about this being a scam, and it's exactly why I'm currently moving some assists around IRL to find a way to help out.

Any kind of investment idea in this game should promote longevity, not give people a reason to quit.

I already know that the odds of anybody involved ever investing in another player ever again are slim to none, but if I could some how curve the hard feelings about investing from "hatred" to "slight dislike" then no matter what, I walk away up.

So if you'd like me to just stfu and walk away, thats fine I can do that. The only thing that really happens to me is that I save a butt load of money, and you continue you rub your back side and mutter "that hurts."

You can keep talking, keep this thread up there so people know every person can be a scammer. I lost around 10k, yes I took some collaterial for my shop but due to the backing of some big names in EU and a well known society, I figured Devil would not cheat me. The worst part is not the peds I lost it is the fact that I really liked that shop and only lent it to Devil so it could be kept running. This has taught me due to the RCE no one in EU is trustworthy.
