Update:
I'm working on replacing "Variety" with "Selection". Variety was a rating of how many different items were in the store. The new Selection rating is more appropriate; it is a rating of the desirability of the items in the store. A store with items like Jester D-1s, Pixie, or MF-101s would get a low selection score, since these items are readily available in the auction and/or are not very good (even for noobs).


Without further ado... Introducing, the first store review thread! Now you can know what type of stock stores have without wasting an hour visiting each shop.

A word on ratings: I have judged each stores in three categories: Quantity, variety, and prices. A 5-X rating on prices means all or almost all of the stock within the store are at least slightly beneath auction prices. 4-X means some, but not all, is at or below auction value. 3-X denotes that most prices within the store are a bit above market value, but still pretty reasonable. 1-and-2-X price marking means expect a really overpriced stock.

I will update this thread once per week at a minimum. If you are store owner and want me to re-review your store at once, let me know.

Even better, once you revie Emerald (I assume that is the plan), make a combined table with all three ranked would be a great resource for the community.

The only problem I can foresee is this:

Many of the shop inventories change on a frequent basis (often due to resource/L BP availability, etc.).

It's a good idea Kombinator. Unfortunately doing so is sort of difficult on EF. It is possible these reviews will be put elsewhere in the future with what you describe.

In a week I'll go through the shops again. At that point, stores who's inventories have changed radically I'll begin to generalize more (L weapons, rather than listing them individually, etc)

I'm going to try to update all the listings once per week, or when asked to by the store owner.

So I will do my best to bring Quantity and Variety up to 5 Xs too
