To recap - pre recent VU, 57 agility was slower than one, at 58, it disappeared into the distance, now at 59 they catch me once again. You havent stated your agility Immortal, I presume its in the 60-65 range. The fact you keep pace with one supports what I say if thats the case. From further testing its now looking like a running speed slowdown and a creature speed up. A few more tests to run then I'll ask Mindark directly. |

When I reached 60 agility 4 months ago I tried to find out do I run faster now than with 59. I measured the time I need to run from Billy's to Phoenix (tp->tp, 3 times) before I got 60 and after. It were the same exact 5 minutes, so no difference.
Now I have agility 63 (so I shouldn't be faster than at 60) and I just ran that route again and it still exactly 5 minutes . |

There is a speed difference between us (51 to 67 agility) but would only account for about 5 seconds over a 5 minute run. So from your post it sounds like the thread title is incorrect and that it should read: Creature speed increased!! |

Ah yes sry it is (almost) 63. And the atrax test was with full armor, 160kg and 140 itamzzzz (not really a test just couldn't be bothered with them near orthos). for reference it is fast enough so merp old can attack but will always miss due to range.

I have noticed changes in mob speed recently too.
I have come to the opinion that when a "Skill nerf" VU happens what MA is really doing is to categorize us all in percentiles. So in-between nerf VU's our skills will change incrementally in accordance to the numbers we see increase, but every once in a while they rebalance us on percentiles so that your progress is really only measured against everyone else's in the long-run. I am pretty sure it applies to everything and not just running speeds. |

Some time ago I noticed that some of the mobs I sweated suddenly was able to catch up with me during the sweat power up period. Especially exo´s, but others mobs was able to do so to. I also noticed that the same category of mobs example sanbelsnot young apparently had to running speeds , a speed where it was possibly to power up and avoid getting hit and a sped slight faster so you must be much faster to avoid getting hit after powering up to sweat. Before the mobs got faster this wasn’t a problem to power up, and suddenly it is now
I then cam up with some methods to reduce the mobs sped during power up. 1 sweat a slower mob. 2 run uphill and start powering up far enough away.. 3 use a another mob nearby to power up on, and then sweat the mob that is tailing you. 4 and just before running the mob to a gun/its death use it to power up on. I think that the mob speed increase has a significance to getting hit during sweating and hunting it’s a way of tipping the expense in a negative way for the players. In short the just raised the price for plying the game a bit. Ps has any one noticed that mobs are now more persistent to hunt you, the don’t stop so often as the did before ? ![]() |
