Are Tezlapods great for skilling, or coincidence

I'll apologize now, first post so be nice:

I was out for a run and ran into a tezlapod (nasty critter). But I noticed that each time it attacked, I gained Dodge skill. Like 5 time in a row. I then revived and ran straight back to the same mob and once again, got Dodge skill on each attack. After about 20 min of this (and some significant skill increase, not only Dodge), the mob finally ran to the turret and was heard from no more (a moment of silence please.....). Any way, I then thought that maybe it was Tezlapods causing this phenomenon. So, I set out on a mission to find the next skill eutopia, but sadly, could not get this effect again.

Was this just coincidence, or was there something about that one Tezlapod that made him so desirable for my skilling purposes? Also, has anyone else seen this type of activity? Any explanations?

Also, just got my first swirly for a 86 ped corn mature. Long wait on that one.

Well they do give dodge. A question to ask is how much dodge do you have. And if it`s not much then that may be a cause for the faster gains. I`ve hunted them a bit but not enough to say for sure if I get more dodge with them than say drones or bristlehogs. Might be a good experiment for someone.

Yes, you can use Hogs, Tezelpods, Trilmoiltes (check my spelling please) Drones, and many other creatures to train dodge.

I have ran many experiments on Drones for gaining dodge skill, When I started I was 0 dodge. I took off all of my armor and clothes, and just ran mindlessly into a mob of drones, once I died I revived and did this again and again and again. At first I was gaining dodge like crazy up to 400ish dodge points, after 400ish the skill slowed way down to the point that it was not worth doing anymore. I then took this experiment to the HOGS, I had the same effect not gaining much skill. I guess up too 400ish points you will gain fast.

You could stand there and fap, letting hogs pound on you. You will gain skill fast at least up to 400ish. put on some 4c plates and FAP. As I now have over 1k dodge points, I find it only worth while to train on Drones or Warrior gens. they seem to give me dodge points with almost every other hit, ok maybe not that many points but I get dodge much faster now training on the bots...

Thank you for the input. The answer the previous question, my Dodge is very low now around 20 or so. This would hold true to the last comment as well, being below "400ish". Thanks for the bot suggestion, I'll give that a try.

so what does dodge do? It is good to have for things that shoot you. mainly bots and pvp, but also helps on some thet shoot electric etc. it is a good skill to have in your defense cache.

Tsk Tsk are good for dodge, but they kill fast without armor.

Hogglos skill evade, not dodge. Maybe in the past they used to provide dodge points, but they haven't in the last 2 years that I've been hunting them.

Bristlehogs definetly give dodge skill, they are good for skilling up on them too since they don't tend to kill me too fast, sometimes I can get multiple dodge skill per "life".

Whenever i hunted them they skilled about the same as other dodge mobs. The reason for your skill gains is probably cause up to now you mostly hunted evade mobs. Mobs that hit you from a distance, even if the distance is hard to notice, give dodge skill. Dodge will help you avoid getting hit by other dodge mobs as often, but does not help you in pvp whatsoever despite what some say (think tests were done and posted in this forum on that subject). In pvp afaik, you get hit every single time, even with uber dodge skills. But if u plan on being a hunter, easy dodge skills are always good, happy skilling
