Jdegre's Skill Nerf Plot

The relation between skill level and its volume (in PEDs tt)

I think that's what you were talking bout, Kpeters.

That's not really what he asked in the first post, though. What I understood him to be asking is:
  1. Do you get the same skill volume for the same amount of (tt) output doing the same task over the short term
  2. Does that amount decrease as the skill or profession level gets higher (ie. over the long term)

The answer to (1) is, "mostly" (numbers i posted earlier). I don't know the answer to (2), but i think it is "no".

I'd guess at the very least its 'no'. Norbert's observations about the possible relationship between scanning skill-volume gain rate and Intelligence suggest it may actually increase.

I'd have to see some pretty solid numbers before i'd begin to entertain that idea. If you extend it to all attributes and all professions, it would sure give old time players a huge advantage, though.

If anything I would guess that it slows down, at least early on. There's no doubt more "green" shows up when doing a skill or profession (not sure which) for the first little while. The question is, are those gains really greater in volume.

I agree, its just a 'possible' that needs further investigation.

Didn't someone do a test of some sort a while back regarding the green lines?
