sorry but that is so vague that it almost disproves the theory. thats more or less an area twice your radar, and you've set such a low qualification with either an item (wool? pixie shins? shadow helmet?), "bigger" loot (bigger than what?), rare ore (relative to your usual ores or actually rare), or a "bit" higer value. If you carpet bombed or killed everything in a 300m area it would be unlikly if you didnt get one of the above (discounting actual rare ore, unless in a spot known for them).

Yesterday i was hunting fungoids, the loot was bad and i was ready to leave the LA. Then i gain a perc (i have ~4k perception) so think lets try to kill some mobs before i tp back. Second kill after perc another perc third kill 48 ped loot.
I remember also when i get a hof (500+ peds from formicacida). First kill 2-3 percs second kill 2-3 percs third kill hof.
So i believe that perc have something to do with loot. I dont know how extaclty works but when i gain perc i stay here for an extra 5-10 kills.
I think also that perc works better when your perception skills are above 2K.
Also maybe another avatar may take the loot that you gained perc.

Its ABSOLUTLEY TRUE! that perception means there is a good loot in the area.. If there is... a good loot in the area.. and you happend to kill that mob..

After reading al these posts I have the feeling that the people who believe in perc<>loot relations are especially looking for confirmation of their theories.
But I wont dismiss it on first sight, since EU has a hell of a complex game mechanics.
Maybe its something for Jimmy B to test?

Yes it's vague, and for a reason.. it's set vague by ma so you cant be 100% sure what you will get, if it was you could profit all the time.

But what it means more exactly, it can be any type of item. it can mean a cb5 or a bleacher or a fap 5 or better. As for enmatter it can mean binary for example. As for the value it seems to indicate a loot at about 7ped or higher.
And for item it's an item, ie not wool or such. But no it's not twice the radar (i think :P) but it's 300m to either side and your radar is ~250 right? But i'm not to good with maths so i might be wrong that it aint bigger than twice the area :P

Its all a farce! Nothing to see here move along move along.

Perception does not mean you can detect another person entering your radar. It also doesnt mean that you might have stumbled into a well populated resource field or their might be something rare or larger than average nearby if you can locate it. Fruit, dung, and stones spawning after a perc gain is beyond belief. Having a skill (or set of skills ) that give you feedback about your surroundings in EU complete hogwash. Why would MA even try to make EU with any depth or even give us clues as to what might be going on around us? So ignore it don't look to the left or right or behind your avatar immediately TP away perception is the Devil it only shows up to mislead you and don't scan since you will start learning more about your surroundings and gaining gahhhhhh! PERCEPTION. MA could not have even thought to give your avatar some sort of awarness in EU.

Oh by the way if you get more than 3 concurrent(3 bombs or probes) perception gains in a resource field please hit "P" and PM the coordinates to me. I will excercise the perception Devil from that location immediately for your safety.

Oooh... I have a good one now:
Whenever you gain Strength, it means that your have injected Steroids into your veins. Or that you have been carrying too much weight for too long, or that a mob with minimum 40kg of loot will pass you nearby, within the next 8 minutes.

And THAT'S a FACT, PPL!
