Question: Suggestions on balancing skills

I've finally made up my mind about my primary weapons choice. BLP Rifle. So no more cross training in rifle and handgun. I'm thinking of chipping out my handgun and using the Peds for BLP weapons tech and Rifle. The question is how much of each should I get?

Current handgun skill: 5100
Current Rifle: 5350
Current BLP weapons tech: 5300

in the end, if your longterm.. many year goal is to unlock commando and kill strike. Your gonna need 10k in each, so you could just start with that, and since rifle is the bigger mod, I would start with that.

Chipping out handgun might give you 1600 ped. (after buying esi, decay on extractor, auction fee). You will lose 19 levels.

Spending this on rifle will push you to 5780 Rifle (gain 1.5 levels blp sniper)
Spending this on BLP tech will push you to 5900 BLPWT. (gain 0.9 blp sniper levels)

Personally I think the chipped out peds are worth more spent on ammo. Or evade.

I wasn't sure which skill affected rifle stats more.

About 1600 peds would be maybe two or three hunts. (ESIs aren't a problem, lots in storage)

I've been debating about getting more evade. Maybe with the faster regen mobs evade would be better.

Like Immortal says, chipping out all the handgun doesn't really give you much extra rifle.

I'd hang on to the handgun, keeping both keeps your options open.

First off, you DO NOT have to have 10k of anything to unlock commando. I know tons of people who do not have 10k in anything at all that have unlocked commando. Hell I know people with no more than 10 HP more than me that have unlocked commando.

Now to the thread starter, if you chip out your corss train skills you will certainly regret it. Trying to get yourself almost purely in one profession is insane. It will do nothing but cause you tons of problems in the future trust me on this.

The most successful players in the game have at least some of almost everything and their "primary" is much higher than average. All you are going to do is damage yourself.
