Help: Skilling advice

I am a lvl 27 blp pistol. I have a UL BLP Pistol and needless to say my hits are not that good. I want to skill but I can not find a gun in the auction that fits, either to big or most of them too small. So my question is which will skill faster, if at all, a limited pistol that I am maxed on or a UL pistol where I have bad hit ratio? I hate the missing and I don't seem to get much green with UL at all.

Thanks for the reply. I am aware of the pistols above however the blp pistols you mention are the ones I can't find very offen. I do cross skilling with the rifles using the cbs mostly and I am fine with the lasers. My original question remains, which skills faster a 10/10 L pistol with no SIB or a UL blp pistol, if in fact there is any difference.

Well skilling speed is determined by how much ammo you burn+ decay of your weapon. In general people find it hard to break even with an unmaxed weapon due to missed hits, lower dmg etc.

If you didn't care about loot and just wnated to skill, grab a swine deluxe and pump ambu for a few months. You'll skill up -fast-, but unless you hit a freakish hof every day, you will lose ped faster than you can earn it back in full time job.

I choose SIB with lowish markup and highest pedburn i can (i had to wokr out formulas myself)... for me, p5a is my default weapon. I'm level 48. It's available. I don't intend to switch my default weapon for another 22 levels laser pistol. The availability of weapons will always be a problem for hardcore skillers, so picking something as a backup. When manis was 140%, i switched to that cos it was cheaper and a lot faster (worked well for CP). We will soon have a whole swath of new weapons to choose from, and hopefully, some of these will be reasonable enough prices.

Of course if you don't mind paying outrageous markups for weapons that will barely last you a day, you are welcome to - and with markup there is a tradeoff in skills for ped compared to nonSIB - for p5a it works out to be you get 3.5% less skills for your ped compared to unl weapon. For a high decay high markup weapon, you will get even less skills for your ped. However with p5 the tradeoff is you have a huge eco weapon that can be used for a wide range of mobs (including the new atrox, maffs, feffs, and previously the ambu young-old) so your hunting costs are reduced.

If you want to do it cheap, kill small mobs with a Svempa S60 (L).

If you want to do it quick, kill big mobs with a Maddox IV.

I strongly recommend the first option.
