Mining.

I have decided to devote my PED into mining. I only spent my first 35ped on equipment and those drill type things that go into the ground. I got a good bit of resources about 20PED worth of resources.

the better you get at mining do you find more resources per excavation or is it your seeker has a bigger area to find things.

I don't want to hunt because I know I will get killed and stuff. I just invest a little bit of money now and then to go and mine. I don't plan on selling my resources until I have a fair amount of everything.

. Please don't tell me not to mine and just stand in town and trade all day. I might rather watch grass grow than trade for hours. I didn't even buy any armor or a self defense gun because I just run when i get attacked.

Welcome to Entropia Universe.

As your skills grow in mining, you will be able to buy higher level
detectors to find deeper deposits (some resources can only be
found with the higher level detectors). Also, as your skills grow
you will be able to use higher level extractors, which will pull up
your claims faster. Decay costs of equipment do go up when
you upgrade though, unless you get some of the Uber rare
equipment. Also, there is a wealth of information on this site,
look around it could be helpful in your new mining career.

Remember to take into account markup when realizing profit/loss.

As you progress, you will be able to use better resource finders. They increase their average search depth and range(to an extent) with each one. No one knows exactly how claim finds are calculated, but it is generally accepted that bigger and better finders find bigger and better ores/deposits.

You will definately still be killed while mining. If you don't plan on fighting back, do not wear armor while mining either.

This can be a good idea. Save up until you have like 50-100 PED of each, and auction them off. I, however, rarely use the auction because I am friends with a few crafters who buy almost everything I find. Eventually, you will do the same.
