Hi.
I want to ask all old avatars. all they when they had about 250k in skill but it has to be before year 2006 how much did you had in agility then.

After the skill nerf VU. (VU7?) not sure...

People that had 100+ agility have only moved 1-2 levels in agility in 3years...

...and I guess those who had 90+ have maybe gained 5lvl last 3 years...

etc....

thats my guess.... Its till doable to get 1-70 in ~1year... but after 90 its hopeless now...


Ps. 250k skills or 0 skills, have nothing to do with agility gain.... the guns you use and the mobs you hunt affect your agility gain.

I think 80 (maybe even slightly less) now is like the old 100. And 90's would be pretty damn uber. I'm not sure that among the "new school" players, even Stryker reached 100.

well stryker was at 80 i know, way before the hard nerf. he tracked his agility from 79 to 80 in a thread here at ef. i started in october of 2005, never fap skilled, and was around 60-65 when the nerf went down. i just hit 78, and i'm still gaining ~1 level of agility per month. but ofc, shooting an 86 attacks per minute gun at aurli and skilling melee (esp powerfist) on tantillions really helps.

I think the hard nerf for agility came sometime during or just before 2005. I remember Stryker complaining about it. There is/was a major difference in agility gains between 2005+ and older players. There was another hard general skill nerf (altered skill curves) long after that (early 2007?), but I think agility was already nerfed before then.

well i guess there were a series of nerfs. one before i started, that the player base felt was destructive. i missed that one so skilling seemed "normal" when i started around the time cnd was sold.

i know when i started to get to 10k in a skill was ~60 chips. then that summer of 2006, that became ~100 chips. in the fall, the skills system was changed so that those 100 chips became 1250 ped tt of skill and then immediately in december that was doubled to ~2500 ped tt of skill.

i've heard doer describe that as 10k becoming 8k or so, and that leads me to believe that should you have not had your agility at 100 before that last nerf, then it would be as hard to skill it naturally from 80 to 100 as it would be to say move your handgun from 8k to 10k naturally, etc.

i do believe that 80 agility is representative of the same number of skill checks that would put any other skill at 8k, as well.

other than run speed, i don't really see what ppl's obsession with agility actually is. i think it's a great indicator of how much a person has actually played eu when you scan them. other than that, and a health per 20 attribute, all attributes seem to barely contribute to actual professions much at all. therefore, i don't loose sleep that i don't have 100 agility and probably never will, but damn those ppl run fast.
