Help: chipping out skills

i am having a funny issue.
i have chipped out 2020 skills in combat on a 12.22 chip
i then put in a 16.98 chip to chip out roughly 2400 in another skill and it wont go past 2021...
has anyone else having this issue if so is there away to fix it?
the chip should hold what i has said and i have 2450 in the skill

You need a bigger implant for 2400 skill, becouse the more skill points you have, the more each point is worth, if you had 3k skill, that implant would be filled with even less skill and so on.

okay so if i have 2050 in a skill and use a 12.22 esi it shows 2020 skills going on it leaving 30 in that skill which i confirm
i have 2450 skill levels in another and use a 16.98 chip and it will only hold 2021 level does not add up maybe i am missing something but both chips shoould be the same fill up yo extracting 2020 and then the 16.98 should exceed that and show removing 2400 levels but its not

i dont see how 1 skill level difference accounts for 380 levels difference when i use the chipping calc it validates what i am saying.

When you have 2000 points in total, then 1 point uses 0.006 ESI TT, when you have 2400, then 1 point uses more than 0.006 TT, so even if you chip out the same amount, it still takes those points out of a bigger starting sum, thus needs more ESI space.

Its because u chip from the top not bottom.

Higherskills are more ´heavy´

For instance from lvl 10010/10000 will take a 12 ped esi aswell.

With every point gained it gets more.

errr okay lets pretend i am an idiot here, okay .. now i have chipped mucltiple times and dont recall it working out like this at all.

i have 2050 in a skill and a 12.22 chip it removes 2020 skill levels and leaves 30 behind and it did that exactly.

i have 2450 in a skill and a 16.98 chip so how many levels should the indicator show as being removed ??? because right now its saying 2021 of the 2450 is being removed, according to wiki i would expect 2405 to be indicated..

i am sorry if i am being dense here but i dotn want to waste a 16.98 chip if tis not going to get filled when its saying it is removing 2021 levels of 2450..

okay so your suggesting 2021 of 2450 is more skill levels then 2020 of 2050

maybe i am miss using the skill calc then on wiki

thank you for your help, i chipped it anyway and it is as you stated so all is good the 2021 of 2450 used the entire 16.98
i think thats the first time i have seen numbers be so close on two different chips at differnt levels so i got nervous of a bug or something..
