Has anyone made any tests on how much more skills one gains on SiB weapons ?
From my limited experience it feels like there is absolutely no difference in an unmaxed or maxed SiB. Either it is really only minimal (below 10%) or I was unlocky to be in areas where skillgain is harder. Anyone notived it or done some tests (search did not help me). |

Hard to test on low level wepaons as your HA climbs so quickly. It might be noticeable on hl-15 vs p5 @ level 46, for example, but no-one has done solid testing yet.
My thoughts are the skill is based upon the % you max the weapon, to a maximum of 2* the skill value gain. |

I haven't tested and scientifically documented anything on that - however, I feel there is a noticeable difference.
When using a SIB gun still unmaxed, my rifle skills used to increase about 20-30 points in a 50ped run. As soon as I maxed HA, the increase in rifle skills become incredibly slow - about 10-15 points in a 50 ped run. Before I was maxing M3a, my dmg profession was almost exactly 2 lvls behing Hit profession. When dmg was maxed, the delta reduced to less then 1.5 lvls. Now using Riker UL2, both professions unmaxed, the delta increases again due to quicker skillgains in rifle. I guess this should be clear evidence of a REAL skill increase bonus. |

Doesn't matter. You loose way more on economy by using unmaxed sib weapon than u gain in additional skills ( if there are any). Im sure of it. Always shoot with maxed weapon + amp (axxx series for laser or beast/dante for blp) to maximize the economy.

That's why I used to compromise and started with a new weapon, as soon as Hit was used and gun fully decayed. So usually the next gun was around 90% maxed on Hit at start. If I used the gun until both Hit AND dmg are maxed, I would probably still hunt Exas at Twins ![]() |

![]() It is SIB not SGB.. so you can use the weapon as If you had more skills. It doesnt mean you GAIN more skills using it. Check it on paints. on 99.9% my success rate is 5%. Then when I hit the 100% and SIB starts suddenly my success rate is 75%. SIB works like uber Lasers or Scopes. ![]() thats ofc just my 2pecs how it works. |

![]() As I said before - even if this was no scientific exercise, there are some hints that there is a serious impact on skill gains indeed. It might be coincidence, but actually this would be a very funny coincidence ![]() Unless skill gains are as random as loots ![]() |

If you could get SiB at 99.9%, you could skill way faster than what it would be at 100%.There have to be security measure for missusage. If you take BPs without SiB the skills and the QR count, if you have a BP where you do not have a SiB anymore, only the QR counts for the CoS. At lower levels (under level 10) I could feel a difference if hit or damage was not maxed out and I received that bonus, above that I had the feeling i was getting more skill with a maxed gun (tried around level 29 lase handgun, Scrof vs. HL8) Also scopes and sights do not say anything about "skill increase" but "skill modification", which means probably that the existing skills are modified according to the value. If SiB really just means, that the skill ist modified, then all the guides for noobs are wrong. Proper advancement should then be to stick to one gun until you have maxed also the next higher one (which would also mean, that MA would not profit from a higher decay). Really find it fascinating that no one did a test yet.... Next time i get an uber loot I will try ![]() |

Compare Korss 400 with TT Handgun - ofc you get more skill gains with the Korss - because you burn more money. It is really easy the more Ped you burn, the more skills you gain. (In a certain range, there is a top limit, if you reached that you cant gain more skills anymore even if you spend more peds/click) So using limited Items with SIB is the most economic way to skill fast, but just because higher L weapons or UL weapons are deadly expensive to use. |
