How to calculate Professional Standing?

does picking 1 of the 3 professional standings on the skills screen influence getting xp in those skills? Has someone who can choose between totally different professions ever tried this?
For instance i can choose between laser sniper, laser pistoleer and gaus sniper. Would setting it to pistoleer make me get more/less xp in rifle skills?

This can't be right. I'm skilled laser sniper, which is the 19th prostanding I think, but I only have around 3.6K LWT and 3.2K rifle.

Shouldn't do, you'll have different HA figures on your weapons, but both figures should match your relevant prof standing.

Yes, you're missing that you also gain prof. stand. from other things than LWT and rifle.

I agree that Stormers post isn't accurate though.

aint there any mathgenious ingame that can take multiply screenshots of skills (of avatars just reaching one specific prostand) and then calc out the correct formula dammit

This would depends on you current prof. stand., wouldn't it?

Can you translate your above info to how much Hit Ability 2.1 LWT gives?

If your are between Advanced and Arch Master, about 2,1k Lwt would give u an extra profstanding

and i mean chip-pressing 2,1k LWT

that gives around 0,3 Hit Ability

2,1k LWT is always "worth" 2,1k LWT nomatter what u got before or after
