evade and dodge

while evade keeps going up , dodge skill stays the same. Why is that? what do i need to hunt or do to skill dodge

dodge is for robots, or any other mobs who shoot at you ...

evade is for close combat

hunt mobs that do ranged attack: drones, warriors, troopers, bristlehogs, cersumon, etc...

Dodge will start going up from the moment you start hunting drones, bots, and whatever carries a weapon when in pvp.

As an alternative to hunting, you can go sweat bristlehog, trilomite, tezlapod or a few of the other dodge-based animals.

not 100% sure, but playing with others in the ring also adds Dodge... i think. Someone correct me on this.

yes, being shot by others (either players or bots) gives dodge

Sidestep?

I suppose it is a valid description, but most dictionary entries I have seen link it closer to the term "escape" or "avoid."

Is there any particular reason for trying to define an exact meaning for the word? It doesn't appear to add much of relevance to this discussion.
