I run faster than n00bs!

I found this rather interesting, I had no idea my skills made such a difference in my running speed (probably due to Agility)...but when I did some TP runs with a few disciples I acquired, at first I thought it was my imagination, but I was running significantly faster! And that, even when at my usual "hunting weight" of 118 kg (approx., with guns, armor, ammo, etc.) and my disciples were practically empty-handed.

It wasn't even close, either. After a few minutes of running, they'd both already be outside the white inner ring! Furthermore, I saw this large boulder once and thought I'd try hurdling it...the thing was practically as tall as I was...and I cleared it! Now I'm running/jumping all over tarnation, goofing around with my enhanced bionic-woman abilities!

On a related note: Has anyone noticed a similar improvement in how much weight we can carry, before being reduced to a slow walk, as a result of strength increases? It seems when I hit about 200 kg, I walk the minimum speed, and it seems to happen quickly and almost all of a sudden, not gradually with increasing weight (loot)...

Interested to hear your observations.

What is your agility? I out ran a noob not long ago leaving PA. He set follow on me, so I figure I'd lead him on a chase. Once out of radar he figured he could Minor TP jump to catch up. I was still ahead of him once he TPed. I have 126 Agility.

Gratz on the discovery

I watched Faustian run with nubs once .. I was like 2 weeks ingame at the time.
My friend Zebra and my husband Loki Camaro were having a footrace.
Both of them were big old nubs, so they ran about the same.


When suddenly from behind comes this big black lightning bolt of Faustian!
It was awesome.
He was off their radar within seconds.

And yea .. you start with 1 agility.

Coolness! The first time I actually noticed it, it was when I was with another player, and I said "I run faster than you", to which he replied, "No you don't, I'm carrying stuff"...well, I carry a minimum of 117 to 118 kg at all times...

Wonder about the strength thing though, I really hate having to return to storage every hour or two of hunting...

When I was running for TPs with my bro, I noticed I'm a LOT faster than him too. And I'm still a total noob. So skills do make difference in some(most) cases

I almost exclusively hunt alone. The times I team, it's usually with other similarly-skilled avatars, so you don't notice a major difference. I don't find myself entering many footraces once I'm back in town.

My agility is still pretty low (62) and I'm usually carrying at least 120 kg, but I still usually outrun the crew on the way to a hangar - I have to keep stopping for everyone to catch up. Can't jump that high though. Never could figure out why I'm a fast runner but a weak jumper.
