entropedia is not allways correct, altho I think snables don't give dodge. tezlapods last time I met them was giving evade, while trilomite was giving dodge. (at least I think lol, I do meet them everyday, I guess I'll give more attention to mobs and less to claims). so the point is there is no rule, it's only about what MA decides or screws. also heard some rumors about falx giving dodge.

I confirm bristlehog and falx give dodge.
The dodge/evade is not totaly random, it's just about the attack is ranged or not.

Now about snable, it would make sense they give dodge since they're "shooting" some acid.

I believe that they are ranged if the range of the mob is over x(15 perhaps?). So the snable simply don't got enough range to be counted as a ranged mob.

I think that's it. It's the only way to explain the Falx giving dodge, really. I don't think snables do (nor globsters): they're just spraying you. (eww)

This was a recent change; before that, only firearms (robots and other players) gave dodge.

As per Entropedia
Thorifoid ,Bristlehog, Cersumon, Oculus all give Dodge skills, as well as do the drones, warriors, and troopers.. Snables do not.

Also repselix and i would assume tantards too. They all shoot barbs of some sort. Projectiles you must dodge. Lol, instead of snot acid you must evade.

Bristles - Dodge
Falx - Dodge
Repesilex - Dodge
Snable - Evade

Tezlapods give dodge too... I skilled a lot on them! (they even thought I was a bot... )
So do the mobs you encounter when you travel from TI (northern shore) to the south. (sorry I didn't remeber their name...)

Looks like it has something todo with the way mobs do damage: shooting, spraying or hitting... Shooting will give dodge, spraying and hitting/(clubbing) will do evade

So to get dodge... Just get killed by mobs that shoot you!

yep, I was wrong tezlas give dodge, met few yesterday and waited for skillgain. that still don't explain why TskTsk give evade (ranged arrows no?, hehe, hopefully I'm not wrong again) and falx giving dodge.

Lol... I tried those Falx yesterday... They give dodge... But the squash me like a very small bug... One did a 146 point hit... The next a critical of over 200. So if anyone finds a spot with a bit of red... that WAS me being squashed
