Dodge skill queastion?

Hi all!

Is there a "better" way to increse your dodge skill?

If I'm sweating and hunting (Opalo) I see a lot of combat reflex, evade skills .... but I'v only seen a few doge skills (3) :-(. Is there a special action that increses dodge skills more rapidly or is't just a hard skill to get?

Unless you are hunting drones, you pretty much won't get any dodge skills, you get dodge for projectile attacks, i.e. something shooting at you, you get evade skills for melee attacks i.e. mob attacking you with teeth, claws etc.

sweat hunt something sweatable what can damage you from distance. bristlehogs for example. AFAIK they're giving dodge now.

Yup, all mobs that do ranged damage now give dodge, not just bots. That means snables too...

Really, snables give dodge!?, heh gotta try them again sometime then...
So the ability to dodge or evade is now specified from the ranged or close attacking type of mob. So i use Dodge -skill to evade snables-snott?

Mobs either give dodge or evade. Snables definately do evade, not dodge.

As far as I know you get dodge skill only in case your opponent using ranged weapon. So there are two options to get dodge:

1. PVP combat.
2. Robot hunt.

Please note that not all robots use ranged weapons.

I can confirm that drones, warriors and troopers use ranged weapons and give dodge skill.

OooOOOps. I dont want to give miss-information, and on checking entropedia it does in fact say that snables give evade, I was under the impression that any type of ranged damage now gives dodge, it certainly is the case in regard to Bristlehog (at least it was when i was hunting em for the feet) hence I auto thought that would be the case with acid & snable but perhaps acid dmg doesnt count as ranged after all, which is kinda weird. Unfortunately i havent bumped into any recently so im not speaking by experience.

Perhaps its only electrc dmg then that also dodges, and only when its 100% the dmg type done by the mob, as allophyl according to entro give evade and not dodge..

Yes, this is how i thought this evade/dodge thingy worked...so snables still give evade, yepp sounds about right...

Didnt seg´s use melee? havent hunted them, too nuba
