I found that it "seems" to help if you wait for the weapon cycle and not pound the key/button. I (again) "seem" to hit a lot more by being calm and waiting. It cuts down on the firing rate some, but I hit a lot more.

I sometimes/often notice that a gun seems to get "stuck" in a "miss all shots" mode.
When this happens, it will be many shots before the gun becomes "Un-stuck" and starts hitting again. I think I remember reading in another thread some time ago that someone more knowledgeable than me thought it was due to a loss of synchronisation between the server and the client. Basically, so it went, your PC (and hence you) thought you were pointing your gun at the mob, and the server thought you were not (so you missed). I find the following to be of help preventing this.
Should it happen, I find that the gun can often be "reset" by lowering from the ready position (pointed at the mob) to the carry position. I do this by scrolling back one "click" on my mouse scroll wheel. The next shot will bring the weapon back to the ready position, and seems to always result in a hit even if the last 3 shots were misses. Can't say if your problem is what I see, of if the above will help though. |

I don't know where the problem comes from (MA servers or somewhere on the network between MA servers and me) but what I know is:
- In some configuration (server / weekday / time), I do never miss, i.e. I have a Hit Ratio equal to 100% on maxed weapons, even if the community official statement is that a maxed weapon gives 90%. - On some servers (using same weapons and hunting same mobs) I always have 10 to 40% misses. I really can't stand such waste of ammo and usually leave the area after 3 min. Sometime I think it's MA who need some cash and adjust their "Miss rate" to 40% on some area during a short period. ![]() - When hunting on the border between two servers, I can feel when I moved to the other server when I see the miss rate increasing/decreasing. Yes, moving backward helps, as using a key instead of clicking, as waiting till the weapon totally relaods (in that case, I think the game considers it is a fist shoot and gives you more priority). Some time it's fine, some time it's 40% misses and if other locations I like to hunt have the same problem, I just stop playing EU untill next day. Entropia is dynamic, fine, I can be dynamic too. ![]() Regards, Xor |
