I donīt hang around at PA very often, nor I do at swamp camp. On the other side I donīt need shitloads of sweat, so why should I buy it? I buy sweat only from my disciples, and sometimes if I think somone offering his hard gained sweat at a way to low price, but only if I am 100% sure my favorite buyer is still buying at the price I expect. But that can change daily, so I most times buy only when my buyer is actually online and I can directly resell to him. In all respect, sweat is free for everyone and there or so many many people in EU sweating, sometimes I think, damn who the hell uses all this sweat, there is surely not enough nexus to refine it all to ME, and is there really enough ME users to bring down the actually high supply of ME. Imho ME price and sweatprice is manipiulated up, as I have no problem to get ME way below the average shown in markethistory and sweat I can get for free or at very very low price. Conclusion it is not a scam, its just trading/reselling without risking anything. Nothing wrong with this, as nobody is forced to sell at .3 .4 or .5. Patent sweaters sell at .55 up to .6 some even higher. You just need to be patient to find this few buyers that pay good price for sweat. Todays youth donīt have patence, so its their own fault joining EU and selling their hard gathered sweat at way to low price. |

Some of you seem to forget how daunting this game is for new players. Anyone taking advantage of a new player's unfamiliarity with the game is scum in my book.
I remember seeing tradespam at PA, desperately trying to identify who was buying sweat, then realising that "buying sweat 0.4 @ groupofassholes" meant absolutely nothing. 0.4 what for how many? So I took my first 47 sweat, dropped it in the TT, and got 0pec for it. Very puzzled I was. It's all too easy to say "ignorance is no excuse", but in the case of noobs it actually is an excuse. Do you remember how long it took to figure out just how to move? Come on people, let's show some small degree of basic human decency here. Alternatively, you could adopt the same attitude, and get your jollies by going to the arrival area, and when someone asks you how to move, say "FU, go study noob, mwahahaha" There are aspects of EU that are truly sickening. |

Name away ! Ack - oh how the times have changed. I feel bad for nubs nowadays - .4 If I buy sweat it's for WAY above market value - but that's just me. I would rather spend a few extra measly ped & make a nub happy - or better yet to help sustain him in the game and stick around a little longer. You can't do anything to anyone buying sweat for a ridiculously low amount - as stated before - it's a free market. I urge to the people who buy sweat - not everytime - but at least once in a while - pick a random nub and pay them way more than sweat's worth now a days. If you buy for .8 from someone once a week - it's definitely good for your karma. What's the extra 3 or 4 ped to you ? Seriously. |

If a noob has sweat to sell would it not be fair to assume they know a little about the game by now,or at least have a mentor to help guide them.
When i started playing i made alot of mistakes, this is life you live and you learn. Why should it be any different ingame, I know i was happy to sell my sweat to someone willing to buy it and really did not care at the time weather i got a good deal or not i was just happy i had a few free ped. I think learning about people and buyers with sweat is a cheap way to understand the market, like getting your first training wheels got to start somewhere. Now latter on when the noob is wiser and loots a nice item he understands the market better from the sweat ordeal he had with a cheap reseller. And yes it is a nice thing to do giveing a noob higher price then expected for his sweat, but this is not what free market is all about. I would never do this type of low life treatment to people cause thats not me and most long time players are the same. But it is a free market and this kind of thing will happen so sweat is a cheap price to learn about resellers. |

Sure, there are times one gets 1000 bottles, but there are time one only gets 200. If one is lucky he gets around 300-400 per hour on average, thats 1,5-2 PED per hour. |

I think e-lite was more pointing out that this isn't scamming - just a cheapass sweat reseller.
To be fair, this reseller would be out of business - except for the fact that people do sell to him at that price - so the said avatar isn't doing anything wrong other than paying a low price for sweat. |

Arguing, that the noobs simply will learn in time is not the correct way. The tougher it is in the beginning, the less of them will stay. A lot of them are in no soc or have a mentor, quite a lot do not even know enough english. |

You lose 24 pec, gain 24 sweat, and that noob has a good deal, and some options. If he/she wants the armour, they're happy, if they TT it, they know they got 1.0 for that sweat. It also establishes the fundamental principle of "nothing for nothing". Part of our responsibility, in my opinion, is to do whatever we can to provide new players with fun experiences and great memories, so they will become long term citizens of Entropia. Bad experiences and bad memories are not the end of the world, sure, and most will deal with them, but every one who is turned away is one too many. This is a hard universe, don't harden your hearts too. |

I agree - as most people would - that taking advantage of newcomers is unacceptable - but there's very little or nothing we can do about it. I tell all newcomers to come here and research all about Entropia, professions, trading, mentoring, and the regular practices here - it's the best I can offer. Maybe one day Mindark will put a tt value to sweat & all the sweaters' problems will be resolved |
