This makes perfect sense. Sweaters do have a way of stirring up the mobs and they sometimes attack indiscriminately. I'm constantly baffled by how a mob I'm sweating will randomly turn around and fly aaaaaallllll the way across the field to someone I can barely see. And if that someone is a hunter, oops, sorry. Hunters should be able to defend themselves, they have more to lose than sweaters.

However just today I saw some annoying rat bastard purposely running over to a mob that people were sweating and shooting it dead. I personally think he was a coward who wanted a mob target whose attention was divided. Very selfish. Then again, most cowards are.

On occasion, I take a trip SSE of PA and jog on out to Fozzie Island. On the way, I have seen many sweaters, and have tried to steer clear, but, inevitably, their mob chases me. Being nice, I decide to punch the mob every so often, so as not to kill it, but to keep its attention on me so the other player can continue to sweat it. In local chat, I say something like, "let me know when it's dry" or "getting any sweat from it"... something along those lines. Now, as many times as I have done this, wouldn't ya know, not one of those players uttered a single word, just kept sweating the mob.

Courtesy goes both ways... as a hunter, I refrained from killing your mob that attacked me... as a sweater, you could at least say, "hey, thanks" or, "mob is dry" or whatever, since it is my armor and my weapon taking the decay so you can sweat it out.

You are awesome for doing that. It's unfortunate they chose to ignore you. I wouldn't have, but that's just me. I'll tend to die a lot trying to reply to people. Just now I was sweat-hunting and it was pretty empty where I was. One other guy was doing the same thing. At one point we had respawned and were both standing there with our Vivos healing ourselves. I commented something along the lines of "Aren't these vivos great?", just to make conversation while we were waiting. No response. He just took off when he was done. It's unfortunate when people choose to ignore the social aspect of this game. That's just being way too serious.

Or maybe he just didn't speak english. Hmm. Oh well.

I like the hunters at Swamp camp, remember they help removing the dry ones and if they are using a slowish weapon (amped opalo for example) you can get a sweat cycle in whilst it is attacking him.

I would therefore make the sweating etiquette to be: Please dont kill whilst a sweaters green beam is on.

Most people do this anyway from my experience.

Finally, there isn't a shortage of red dots at SC, there's always another one.

My on this thorny issue.

Sadly tonight I had an encounter with this character from H20 society who seemed intent on annoying sweaters at Swamp Camp.

So with that in mind, MOST people are considerate, but some could do with learning some manners.

Yeah, I was there when they started. Their intent was immediately clear - some good ol' "let's go annoy the noobs" soc activity.

Thumbs up to the threadstarter, by the way. Every sweater should read this. If I can figure out how, I'll do the +rep thing.

I was very surprised, I've heard of H20, and whilst not had any major dealings with them, I had my eyes opened. Their behaviour tonight was abysmal. You sum up their intent with your post.

You can hunt Combibos at Swamp Camp perfectly well without annoying the new (and not so new ) players there.

+ rep for the o/p
I can see one exception to that - When I am at the Stable at swamp camp, training one of my 4 pets.. the odd mob will undoubtedly wander my way and start attacking - and then it will die by my hands.

Now, when a sweater (i can picture something grandma knitted me running around with no body inside LOL) decides to come over and start sweating a mob thats very close to me and then it attacks me (still while I am training my pets) I can assure you that I will not stand there and let it slowly eat away at my health until I am dead - I will kill it - although I ALWAYS make sure that the persons "green mind probe" is finished as to not waste someones sweat attempt - but when its done and I kill the mob and then they still give me crap for killing it - get over yourself mary! (not you) There are enough mobs around the camp you seriously don't need to sweat the 1 or 2 that want to attack me while I am working with my pets.

This post is not directed at anyone in particular, but there have been a couple times when this has happened - and I'm not sorry for killing the mob under these conditions.

Agree totally, I've seen the mob attack a tamer at the stable from miles away. Killing it is perfectly acceptable

If I decide to train and the SC Stable I almost always run around the stable first killing anything I think is going to wander my way and bother me... but do to the number of people running around and the mobs chasing them, it never takes long for the place to fill up again. I like the Stables you can take your pet to a pen inside and work with them there.

Lets face it, one of the advantages of Swamp Camp is you have a ready audience to watch the tricks that you can perform with a level 3 pet.

I want a level 3 pet <envy mode>
