nice work. as for "heck why improve SG skill when it means nothing"...keep in mind there are no über SG's yet, so a possible effect of SG skill is minimal. maybe repeat the experiment in a year, maybe we have some players at 5k SG then, so it makes sense to compare them against SG noobs (1k SG)

Hi everyone,
Personally i think while this has been a great effort, there are too many variables unaccounted for, and too small sample sizes. In my short PE experience so far I am level 2, with 250SG. When I started I was lucky to sweat 50/hr now I get closer to 250 - 300/hr. A portion of the improvement I put down to experience and using better techniques, but I definitely have less failed attempts than when I started. I believe you have a probability of success based on experience, thus you can have good, bad and average sessions. Only with sample sizes >1000 in fixed sweating conditions could you achieve semi-accurate data. However, within that 1000 you are also improving which may further bias results. Variables i think should be considered are: SG level and points, mob type, sweating teams, sweating experience of team members, armor, weapons, fap, location, density of mobs, mindforce skill levels, depositor/non-depositor. For the most accurate results, someone with lots of time on their hands should create an avatar and record every attempt from scratch, and sweat the same place, the same time, the same mobs for the same period each day, without influence from other players. A very boring and tedious task, so I'll pass. Thankyou Acronoid for a most interesting thread and experiment. Just one final thing, has anyone else found that you sweat better in a team of less experienced sweaters? i.e. the players with the highest probability of getting the sweat have first take, and others share the left-overs thus getting less than they normally would? I agree that the sample size was very limited (not my fault btw), but it does already prove that DG skill does not worsen sweating, and may even improve the amount gathered. Although many more samples should be needed.
For that I hope some brave souls will post them here ![]() I'm already happy knowing that I don't go downhill while sweating more. |

EDIT: I seem to remember another thread trying to find the highest SG skill and the results were not promising in my eyes toward high SG skilling. |

Although my graphs do indicate than SG skill does matter, although it must be said that you will need ALOT of them. Now find some neurotic people that want to sweat 24/7 ![]() |

1. acquired sweat on succesfull attempts (sweat / succesfull attempts) 2. acquired sweat on total attempts (sweat/ total attempts) 3. succesfull atempts out of total attempts (succesfull / total attempts) Instead of: 1. succesfull atempts out of total attempts (succesfull / total attempts) 2. acquired sweat on total attempts (sweat/ total attempts) 3. acquired sweat on succesfull attempts (sweat / succesfull attempts) And well done for a good experiment ![]() |

There might be a factor where skill versus the sweated mobs takes its toll as well. MA likes throw around with the term "match skills balballblalbalblalbl" at any point, so why not for sweating as well?
Would make sense as in higher sweaters should sweat higher mobs and get worse results on low mobs to prevent them from camping the low mobs and the lowbies have their grounds without someone cleaning it out. |

gotta say thanks very much for doing this ... Whether or not the sample size is sufficient left apart the graphs vividly demonstrate that sweat gatherer skills have no influence on sweating whatsoever.
I agree with Steffel, that they are no (known) sweat ubers just yet who might have a different sweat experience, but for 99.99% of the players this proves that SG level means jack ![]() ILW |
