A call for fair prices!

Hi guys, Smeep here. Yes, I'm another of these newbies. I'm also a member of the newly found Fair Trade Society.

There are a lot of people in the above posts that say "Deposit". The question I ask you is why? Why should I spend my money? Now believe me, I'm in no way saying that we shouldn't deposit, I'm just saying that I personally see no reason why.

What the FTU are attempting to do is make it a little fairer on the people with no money or those who do not want to deposit, by increasing the price of Sweat by just .2

Yes, .2 - that is all we ask. No ofcourse, that .2 builds up over time.

We are recruiting members fairly rapidly, and we will not sell, or buy at less than .8

New people and Sweater: A lot of people will "flame" you in this thread, do not let that deter you. If you've never sweated, try it out. It takes hours for very little return. Yes, we know that is the idea, but as a valuable rescource to the comunity, we must increase the price of sweat. Simply, Sweat is needed. We can in theory charge whatever we want, but to get that .8 we have to stand together.

I'm not here to convince all the other people that just say "deposit" or "shut up" I'm here... no, we are here to help you get a better price for the hours of work you put in.

Stand with us, we will help you in any way you can. Ignore the nay sayers and get a fair price for your sweat. (literaly!)

That said, this has nothing to do with money, depositing or how easy it is to find sweat - it's about getting a fair price. And I know most of you vets use what? 2-4k a day? More? Then find it yourselves if its so easy.

"Sweat is needed"? Yeah right. 50% of my Mind Essence usage goes towards focusing n00bs (and threads like these show me I shouldn't even be doing that). Another 25% goes towards healing said n00bs and the remaining 25% I use for TPing.

Mind Force is essentially useless aside from TP chips. In fact, I can gather enough sweat to last my TPing for a month in about 1-2 hours.

You need my PEDs.

well, when you and Jedi left the soc and made an own one with the goal to rise the sweat price to 0.8 i put it under "cute newbies with ambitous goals"

but

i bet you get enough answers here (from the sweat buyer, or rather, the mind essence users) who will tell you to deposit
i simply won't do that, but i will tell you that sweating was harder back in the days
max amount per pull was 5 (not 22 as it is now) and it took 1 hour and more to get 100 sweat, price back then was 1.0-1.3 (say 1 ped 30 per hour highest)
atm you get 300-500 sweat per hour and price is 0.5-0.7 (say 1 ped 50 per hour lowest)

therefore, newbies have a better start even with those price nowadays

on the other hand, who is using mind force, and what do they have from it ?

attack chips ? very uneco, 90% of other weapons are better, the lower the mind essence price, the more eco, but it still cant beat most weapons
but at least you might get some loot

heal chips ?
payback=0, they are too slow for hunting issues, and compared to faps very uneco
besides, atm most heal chips are used to heal sweating newbies

focus?
payback=0, just to continue concentrating while hit
usually used for sweating newbies

these last 2 are services that makes sweating for newbies easier
yes, ppl spend their cash and help newbies
so in the one hand, you are happy when you are healt and focused, because you get faster sweat, but also want those ppl who help you to pay more to help your precious being while sweating ?

mind force is very expensive to skill, and even if you don't care most likely what other ppl spend, they actually pay your gameplay, and that on insane cost with kinda no payback

i won't flame you unnecessary, i have been in these times too, rebelling against the system
wanted to rise the sweat price
i have seen many sweat price revolutions (and pretty exactly the same amount of threads here) and all failed

please let it be here, doesn't look good for your, your soc, nor for me

Bah sweat should be utterly removed from the game period end of story.

You sign up to play here you either deposit or get a job. Find some hunter willing to let you be bait or stand in town hawking a buyers services or something!!!

I feel for you sweaters I really do. When I started playing I deposited some cash. I was a buyer of miners goods. I hired ojs to find me buyers and sellers and in return i paid them for the job of running around so I could stay in town and wait there. The oks had no sweat it was find a job if you could or beg I obliged with jobs.


But as many have said you can nail 1k and more in a hof from the low end mobs. Heck they even tend to give you back enough ammo to keep playing and more than enough residue to cash in for more ammo.

You have it SOOO damn easy now.

I've been here for a long time and still haven't played much so am still a noob. But I deposit and being here for so long I'VE never once nailed a hof or an ATH I've just this time round picked up globals with a fairly regular basis. Before that I only ever had one global!

You oj's off the boat have it easy. So I do have to join the STFU crowd.

You want something for nothing you've got it, they give you sweat. I say you don't deserve the sweat, people like me and others have put money towards those loots and time over anything you can compare to. Your bitching about wanting more money for free well get a job ya lazy bums!! Stop wasting your time sweating and get a real job. Or just stop bitching and keep sweating till you can pull a hof or an ath out from under the rug of more veteran and depositing players! Your cries of fair prices fall on deaf ears!



But I still love the oj's out nw of atlantis you help me and I help you. I don't heal anyone But I will take abuse after abuse form teh mobs so you can freely sweat.

This works well I get skill sin hunting and evade etc while being beat up for a small cost of decay and ammo. I earn back loots form the mobs i kill when you sweat em dry. and you can sweat without dieing to often.

I may not like the idea of hiking sweat hell I could care less I don't buy it. But you really should realize you get something for nothing and if your making 0.1 you should thank your lucky stars.
Further for the complainers want to help raise the price. Then take it upon yourself to help other ojs. Deposit some cash and buy their sweat for .8. If your unwilling to do this then you have no room to cry for higher prices. Because you want what they want something for nothing. };>)

Thanks Alice - The post you put was well thought out and well informed, rather than just "you idiots" and I respect that. It is a welcome contribution to the discussion.

Yes, many have tried and failed. But don't we deserve the same chance as the others before us? Why flame us? Why call me Stupid? Why not just correct me? People don't think logically any more.

I can't really post any more at this time than what I have said, but I will say this, We will not give up.

i cant understand how you can ask for more money for something that is givven to you so you can hunt and get a chans on the real money...

im sweating my own sweat so you can rasie the price as much as you whant but there will be more and more ppl following my example and in the end that will leave you with alot of sweat and no buyers.

Look simply put your not going to get the prices you want unless you set the market standard.

There are too many new people who come into the game daily that will sell to who ever weill buy.

If you REALLY want to change things.

You have to become a buyer.

Then the word will get around and people will wait for you to log in to sell you their sweat.

But this will take a great deal of time to pull off and dedication probably even a deposit unless you've got enough peds to start doing this now.
Also you should start buying up aything on the auction that is below the cost you want.

If you want to change thigns you need to control things. There's just too many ojs and too many buyers for any single soc to unite and demand more.
