Is it worth geting a pet?

So I would like to get a pet, just so I'll have one, or to give him a cool name and place him at Sweat camp (sence as I hear there's no real use of pets). I think I can get one real cheap (like PED or two), but what I want to know is if it's costly to own a pet? How much PED's will I have to spend just to own one and will it abandon me etc. New at this so any help is welcome. Tnx.

Pets are extremely useful, they helps socially challenged people to have friends! I have an Exo Stalker, she always listen to me and never says that she's bored with my whinings about the bad loots. What's more important, she don't ask for expensive gifts and restaurants, since she eats only 80-100 nutriobars/month when stabled!

Though the gluttonous thingy needs another 1-2 nutriobars for every trick when I play with her.

Being the mother of a son who owns over a dozen pets let me give you my take on the situation...

If you want to own a pet just to stable it...silly idea.

But if you want a pet so you can skill up...for the "one day pets will be useful" then yes go for it.

It can be a lot of fun and a bit of a challenge as I have watch my son go through the i want a pet to I have to tame my own pets to the now i have to skill up to make them do tricks, to if i get to the next level I can take out more then one at a time.

It can give you hours of fun and fairly inexpensive entertainment. Although i suggest keeping the pets down to just one unless you want to feed a whole zoo...lol.

I personally love to train m pets a little, when I made a longer PVP4 run... it's pretty stressful these days, and a few clicks on my brave pets just help me to cool me down again .

Tnx for the answers and lol I dont want to keep him in stables, as I said, I wanted to put him at sweat camp and give him some cool name, to entertain people. And so I have one later when they become more usefull but dont want to be spending a lot of peds for just that silly "recreation". So after I buy him the only thing I'll be spending on are nutrio bars? How much nutrio bars?

I'm not sure how much it takes to get their trust up and stuff...but i know you cant' just buy a pet and name him...you have to have a certain skill level...you have to greet your pet and spend time with him...or her...

I give my son 1k of bars at a time...i bought him a brush so he brushes his pet...and a whip for his pet to gain respect for him...i don't really know everything or much really about it all...but that skilling is important...i had a Daikiba Provider and couldn't make him move...lol...but now my son can take him all over...so it's skills.

If you buy a 3rd lvl pet with full Trust then you don't need anything except for nutrios. If it has low/zero Trust then you need a brush to rise it. Finally, if you want to skill him to the 3rd lvl yourself (and skill yourself in a pet handling while doing it) then you need it to have some Trust (the more the better) and lots of nutrios, since you'll give him lots of commands to skill and every command burns nutrios. To be able to name your pet you need to skill him to lvl 3.

I would suggest buying and training a pet should be seen as a luxury...I would only buy and store (without opening) a pet deed as an 'investment' (they are selling atm at less than cost)

You will have to stable him when offline, as far as I know...otherwise he will lose trust and and require brushing, which ain't cheap. Otherwise Calypso would be littered with walking billboards advertising all sorts of things.
I made my pet a private in my soc so I can train him as an attack trooper.
