Taming Predictions - how do you view the future

we have had lots of discussion about the future of taming - some interesting speculation about what pets can do. I am, however, interested in how the process of taming could change:


My three predictions for the future of Taming are:

a. I think MA will change (or remove) the autostable function for freshly tamed pets
b. MA will actually reduce the delay between you getting the message that the pet needs feeding and the pet deserting you
b. Pets will become harder to tame

Is this way off ...? Wondered what other people's predictions are...

My predictions:

We will be making predictions for the next 10 years about taming because MA isn't going to do anything with it.

Hi.

I know nothing about taming, so, this is not a prediction but yes a logic use of pets.

Transport.

Each pet can have a inventory section only can touched by deed owner. With more big pet, more big freight can be loaded.

All miner or hunter group can have now a motivation for take one or more pets for charge bombs and probes and ammo and some spare tools and charge high weight loots.

Farming.

If you give nutribars your pets, they will gain some maturity and produce dung. When pet owner choose, pet can be killed and perhaps looted for some things as wool, or hides, or oils. Perhaps loot quality can be changed with pet well feed or brushed when was alive

I really like your idea of pet farming Milesio. It could create a whole new industry - small parcels of land would need to be bought, equipment would be needed to set up and run a farm etc.

EU desperately needs new industries with new skills so that newer players can get a foothold in those industries without feeling they joined EU 5 years too late.

Well if ANYTHING at all is coming up with taming it is already a great thing, whatever it is I look forward to it, even if it is poorly implemented and expensive, new is good

As for me ...roll up, roll up buy a 'pink pet' before Pinky's exclusive anouncement on the new development of taming ...pets going for below cost. Pj's cheapest virtual petshop in the unverse situated just net to the Genesis HQ pet shop (sorry I am boring you)

Somehow that bothers me that MA would give some people information regarding future updates and not all of us at the same time. Gives a bit of an unfair advantage when making decisions on purchases, skilling, etc.

I am not suggesting that you would take advantage of such information, but I find it curious in an RCE they would find that acceptable. Could create an "insider trading" type of opportunity for some.

Should I buy a bunch more nutrio and taming skill chips because the changes will create more demand and I can sell them for a much higher rate, or should I dump all that I have now before the market crashes.

They simply dont give out information like that to anyone, not even "real" reporters, let alone little old me

Flattered you think they give me special treatment, and even more so that you think I wouldn't take advantage of it! But no, nothing that exciting I'm afraid. Just more "whats coming down the line stuff" - I probably made it sound more interesting than it is just to wind up P-J

Whew I was hoping that it was more of a general statement and not anything too specific, but each time I re read your statement I was not sure.

On topic:

I have wondered if the umbra with their whips indicated their may be a change coming.

I can tame stalker snable and stalker exaro, almost ready to level up to dak old alpha. I hope that we get a few more mobs that we can tame and that we can use them for something other than a curiosity.

I would like to see trax, trox, kerboros as a few of new mobs to tame.
