How do you take a tamed mob into town?
Not long after I'd tamed my first snablesnot I tried to take it into Atlas Haven, only to be told after it had run so far that the mob was afaid to get any closer than it was. More recently (last night) I achieved pet lvl 3 on an Exarosaur at Twin. After renaming it, I decided to run it to a TP at Twin. Again it ran so far but then stopped. I didn't get the "afraid" message this time but I assumed that it was scared to get any closer. So my question, is there a level beyond level three that allows you to take a pet into a town, or is it more dependant on your own skills? I'm level 5 in Pet Handling and Animal Lore. Any help appreciated. |

you dont!
you tame it there .. When in Follow Mode you dont get any message, which really sucks because you might not notice your pet has stopped and "loose" it that way. Level 3 is the highest level a pet can reach atm. |

I asked this question a few months ago. And continuing to see pets in towns I figured it out. I took a pet into twin to prove I could do it. I am not sure that the method is a bug or not, but it is time consuming and it takes some time to do it.
Take your pet to the point it says it is afraid to go any further. Stand close to it and have it move a very small distance. When the pet stops moving there is a very small period of time that you can run into your pet and push it. Start pushing it towards the area it will not go. This is very slow moving and the pets direction will change so you need to keep trying to move while pushing to get it where you want it to go. (it took me about a half hour to get my pet over by the ring in twin from just outside the bank where it quit moving on its own) When you slip off the pet and can't push it anymore then you will find it will still not move deeper into the town, but it will move in the other direction to leave town. Follow the same process to start pushing it again. Edit: I will add that a lot of that 30 minutes was trying to figure out how the movement worked when pushing, how to make it restart, change directions etc. If I was to do it again now that I did it once it would probably be more like 10 minutes to get it to go the same distance.
