Didn't get time to scan her as I was too busy trying to ensure the second beast was below 50% on health before she killed it! Just didn't expect it - when I am taming normally people come over to chat - watch me fail to tame a few and then wander off. Sometimes noobs sweat the animal you are trying to tame (which seems ok if they ask) - occassionally I pass people the animal deed when I tame one. Its kind of fun!

This person just ran over killed the animals and then ran over the hill.

The issue with taming is that when you are just able to tame a paricular level of a mob you may have to bring the animal almost down to the point where it is dead five or six times - before it rolls over and is tamed. The decay on your whip and armour / fap is considerable. As it is also time consuming waiting for the beast to regenerate I try to keep two going at once - whip one while I wait for the other to regenerate. So its kind of frustrating when someone wanders up and kills them both for no personal benifit - just for the hell of it.

Well the next person that does it to me will recieve the following treatment lol....

I will go to every n00by town on eudoria and spam to all nubs that if they beg (via trading attempts) this avatar over 20 times they will pay out a ped, becuase they love "persistence" or some excuse...

Haha, genius! They may ruin our moment but we can cause them constant problems in all towns with nubs trading them all the time! What a brilliant punishment lol lol lol lol lol.

Before I thought of this I didn't think there was anything that could be done. Now the "joke" will be on them.

There are enough tamers on the forums to make life hell for people who do this kind of thing. Take advantage of the same non-PvP setup that they have and let's make their lives hell. Lyga isn't the only person who does this, there are people out there who do it absolutely deliberatley. Loot isn't even an issue, every near attempt costs me almost the same as an actual attempt but gets me no skill. asshats who put a single HG round into your mob and lose you the taming bars deserve everything they get.

Next Time it happens to me i'll post the name in this thread and lets start ruining their experience in game. Waste their time with incomplete trades, pay n00bs to give them grief, kill them while they're in storage / auctioneer on ameth; I don't care, just make the game unplayable for them for a while.

Every half-wit who does this probably thinks they are the only one bright enough to dream up a trick like this and doesn't realise that you've had this done to you repeatedly and it wasn't very funny the first time.

Fade, i asked Liga today about that, and she tell me what didn't play much in last few day, and hunt last few days only at CP in space.
And also she tell me, what don't do that stupid things, she even don't remember, when she hunt near Daikibas last time ...

this thread is not about a single avatar. Tons of people have done this, it is a general discussion about this behaviour and is not tied to any particular avatars.

This happened to me the other day, trying to tame a daikiba stalker. Another avatar rolled up on me(avoiding other big daikiba) and shot the stalker, ruining my taming attempt. I suffer decay on my armor, whip, and of course it took several minutes to whip it down. the mob was still alive, but i would be nuts to let it pound on me until it heals again. anyway, i reported it to MA with a 2-part complaint. one, feeling this is nothing but harassment, and two, MA is responsible for the system that enables the abuse. Think about it, there is nothing constructive about what this person did to me. MA benifits from the decay, and they responded saying that "Hello, even though what he did wasn´t very nice it´s not considered a violation of the EULA.
/Regards Support" lol. their taming system sucks atm, and they know it. There will always be childish players, but imo MA is 100% responsible for this. anyway, i am sure someone reasonable is working on a fix, so I will try not to get too upset with their front-end support people who are paid to tell us what we already know.

Oh yeah, and I also think it is stupid, when i do tame a mob, and i global, and it says I killed it.

This is an ongoing problem still, I saw someone near Argus experience it very recently (although I didn't get the name of the offender).

I do my training a "lesser TP chip jump" or more from anywhere...annoying to have to wait 10 mins or more for the pet to turn up at stables, but less annoying than someone wasting the mob and me wasting my time and whip.

I also have something lined up in the chatbox (so all I have to do is press enter) such as "Please don't come too close, I'm taming here." in case anyone comes near me...if they ignore me I stop whipping and try and lead the mob away.

I don't want to do this as I know that many people who might come up to me are not wanting to do anything more sinister than ask what I'm doing, but after having someone waste a mob I was trying to train on my first time out with a whip I feel that I need to protect myself.

I've not been taming long, but since I adopted these tactics I've not lost anymore mobs to inconsiderate low-lifes.

My sympathy to you P-J...and to anyone else that this has happened to (including "Dragon" that I mentioned above).
