Players killing the animal you are taming

Taming a couple of Daikiba Providers today - had one down to just the point where I could attempt to tame it and had the other just over half way down when I saw a blue dot running towards me. As there were a number of mobs near by I thought he/she was comming over to chat. Instead an Atavar called Lyga (I think) ran up to both the animals and shot them then ran off.

Never seen this player before.

Never experienced this before - I was kind of shocked. Its seemed like a new varient on kill stealing! It wasn't in PvP - so I couldn't do much about it atm.

Anyone know this Atavar or experienced this sort of thing when you were taming an animal?

Yes mate,

this has happened to me OVER and OVER again. Sometimes I go to places out of the way to avoid this but it still happens from time to time. Because of the damage you have done they can't even loot them, they are just shits!

Generally I try to stick to what I believe is good etiquette within the game but after this has happened to me a few times only an "armax train" into pheonix tp can readdress the balance

Note to All: Killin mobs that are being tamed is no different to killin mobs that are being hunted. Taming IS hunting - just the killer blow is a tame attempt. Please stick to general hunting etiquette - if someone else is attacking the mob - it is "their" mob, don't get involved unless asked to.

What would be cool would be a special weapon item with only 1 use.... it cannot miss ... it does more damage than most uber health + best armour + plates can take. + it works out of pvp.

The item should be lootable from low end mobs so anyone has fair chance of getting one. TT value of Zero. Unauctionable. Untradable.

So if anyone does you over, no matter how good they are you can waste them. This would make people think before acting like asshats in game!

There is no ownership of mobs.

It is only your opinion that you 'own' a mob. Others may agree with you but they are also in error.

Additionally, why do you think you are able to dictate 'morality' in this virtual world? Who gave you the power to say what is good and bad?

You may not like the practice of killing mobs that are being tamed. If this is the case I suggest contacting MA via the support method. The only things that are 'bad' in PE are those things that MA has made impossible to do via coding.

In my other game - encounters are 'locked' after someone (or some group) encounters a mob. This means that if another player kills the mob they get no quest credit, they cannot loot the mob, and they get no xp. MA should consider adding this type of system to PE. MA can code the game so that once taming begins the mob is 'locked' and cannot be killed by another player.

the fact you hit the mob first makes it your mob, end of story, if someone is selfish enough to hit that mob, they deserve to be PK'd.

Make it all PvP and it will all stop!
