Evade, Taming Fails, damage decrease - Animal Intelligence?

I have noticed that I am being hit many more times when taming and that the I have to attempt to tame an animal many more times before it accepts to be tamed. I also noticed that my damage with the whip seems to have gone down and I have lots more misses.

I wonder if anyone else has had this experience?

Could this be an effect of increasing the intelligence of the animals?

the final count says : more pec/dmg , more $/hour of play .

I have actually been a situation where I miss around 10 times in a row while taming.
I found that if I repositioned myself...somewhat closer...I began hitting more regularly. Between the odd lag on occasion (teleporting creatures) and some of the terrain, this has been the only thing that I have seen to cause an issue when using a whip.

Oh, and yes, I think the whip pisses them off and they hit harder...hehe.

I just was taming a bit at Twin today. I have been having about the same success rate now as before the Daiks went away. If things changed for a while, I think they are back now with the new VU.

Kinda on topic

My skills should allow me to train some at least mid level daiki's, any thoughts on what the minimal whip required to take down prowler/stalker. is only cobra acceptable?

I have OK evade, about 2.2K, 1.8K alertness, just need to train up the taming skills to actually go out and have the ability to tame the big daikis.

Also guys, I am still trying to ascertain when my skills will unlock for the two things: commanding 3 pets at a time (I can 2 now) and taming a daiki stalker. If not too much trouble, please post your key stats. To be fair, here are mine:

AL: 850
AT: 550
Zoo: 530
Whip: 400
Evade: 2.2K
Alertness: 1.5K

Thanks Vincere- must just have been a post VU bug! I will give it a go later today or tomorrow.
