Animal Ownership Costs

Here is a thought, I dont think we have ever really quantified the cost of Pet MOB ownership over the range of MOB sizes. I know I have been working under a set of false assumptions that I just discovered this weekend by trial and error. Here is what I know:

An animal gains energy by being fed nutriobars, 1 nutriobar =1 energy. An animal has to have 100 energy to be considered "fed". He will not follow commands with less than 100 energy. Food above this amount adds to his "fed until" date. The first day or so worth of energy gets consumed at twice the normal rate, then the rate drops to an average daily rate for that pet. See chart below for consumption rates for various pets.

The pet can be stabled at a stable with 110 energy. Smaller MOBs may be stabled for a little less. (ex; 108 energy for a Snablesnot male Guardian)

Autostabling happens when there are no avatars within radar range of the pet for 10 minutes.

Autostabling uses up to 50 energy, 2/10 of a level of experience, and some trust (anyone have an idea of the trust cost?) up to the level the animal is fed, has experiance, or has trust. If experiance and trust are 0 the only cost is energy. If the energy level is 1, the pet will autostable and lose only that 1 energy. If the energy level is 0, you will lose the pet.

The nutrio consumption rate is calculated after subtracting the first 100energy off of what a pets energy currently is, and dividing that by one day MORE than the pet's "fed until" date. (remember pets eat double the last day) Using that information, I came up with numbers for the pets I had handy. (see below) I think it would be useful to fill the rest of this list out.

Does anyone have any information to add, or information which conflicts with what I have posted? I will update this as information rolls in.

About your question "costs of trust":
This is related to the skills of the player who uses the brush. So you can only calculate it like pe-wiki: a maxed out brush costs [x] PED.
I have only rough numbers for a Daikiba Stalker: Maxed out Advanced Animal Brush (L) (Efficiency 500/500): costs about 6-10 PED for 2 bars of trust.

I did not check, if the trust is cheaper when low, so maybe to rise 0 to 1 trust is cheaper than to rise 9 to 10 trust. I doubt this, but I really have no clue.

Nice idear...

Pets can be autostabled with 1 bar of nutrio...I havent lost one yet, wich I fed 1 nutrio.

Most pets need 110 bars to be stabled.

Thanks Miggo! I can't believe all the nutrio's I wasted feeding animals 200 bars to save and store them! I confirmed everything you said yesterday! (had to see for myself )

Ok , yesterday I feed my Exo Mature.

1 Nutrio Bar seems to give him 3,5 hours.
10 gave him 33 hours (1,5 days)
100 Nutrio = 330 Hours (nearly 14 days)

That works out to approximatly 7 energy per day. I will just assume 7 for now on the list, as we get more people writing in with data, maybe I can do a more detailed analysis.

I got a Daikiba Mature and tried how much nutrio he takes, it takes approx. 10 Nutrio/Day so seems as Maturity doesn't really matter!

(10 nutrio give him 25Hours so a little bit more than 1 Day)
