Hi all,

Everybody know but it is worth to remind:

Do not use your EU password on forums.

Be aware using additional software is your risk.

Many forums collects information about you: password, birth date, real name,
real avatar name, etc, etc. This information can be used against you, even outside EU! This information can be stolen from forum owners/tool owners!

It's just to remind, I HAVE NOT any info about any frauds.

But so many places to put info about avatar/user data that I must write this.
For example Entropia Tracker collects big amount of avatar data and with some bad will and many, many user stupidity that info can be used against user. But many, many stupidity do not allow anyone to do anything bad - just
to remind too...

Good suggestion.

For the record, and to set member's minds at ease, EntropiaForum.com does not store member passwords, but rather stores an encrypted hash of the password. Thus, it is impossible for me or anyone else to extract any member's forum password from the EF database, since the actual password is not even stored anywhere.

In any case, it is good security practice to use different passwords for each forum or website one registers for, and certainly not use the same password one would use for any site relating to finances or banking (such as Entropia Unverse account).

There are many new members to the forum and EU each day, reminders like this are very helpful to them and some vetrans alike.

Using you EU password on a forum for the most part does not matter one bit. No commercially available forum stores your password unencrypted. As Neo mentioned all passwords are stored in encrypted hash form not plain text but still better safe than sorry. Buy a GC and this is no longer an issue.

As for third party applications, as long as it is a trusted source you really have nothing to worry about. If you have a GC you have NOTHING to worry about at all in terms of a keylogger but like I said better safe than sorry.

No offense but this thread stinks to high heaven of an attempt at increasing your activity.
