I also want to do this on my notebook pc, but I don't have administrator rights on it either.. So I can not install EU on it.. But if I install EU on a memory stick.. Do I have to install windows as well to make EU work..?

from what I understand you only need to copy the folder to your memory stick. You wouldn't need any windows installation on the stick. I've got loads of useless rubbish in my eu folder I just need to get round to getting rid of.

And remember that messing with EU folder is against EULA - AFAIK.

to get an even more lightweight install remove the bik videos (might have to replace with a blank.bik a download can be found via google)

So are you guys transfering EU from thumb drive or running it on the thumb drive? I've been thinking about getting a solid state disk to keep my EU install on...might speed up load times. Although I think a common usb thumb drive might be kind of slow. What are the transfer rates? 20MB/s?

If you are thinking of running EU on someone else's PC be sure to buy a gold card

If you're in the market for a 4GB USB drive I can recommend the Corsair Woyager (the blue one). It costs around 170 SKr (that's about £15 or $20 or 200 PED). I bought one a couple of months ago and am pleased with it. It is unusually fast for a cheap USB drive. To get a faster one you need to go up in price to 4 or 5 times the amount.
