Question: Do you play EU in your language?

I am french and I tried to play EU in french language but I was disappointed.

It was some months ago when additional languages were introduced.
The translations were bad or some sentences contained english words, and some messages made me laugh (as some of my threads may be funny for british or american people I guess).

So I came back to the only version that rocks, the English version.

What about you, the German / Spanish / French people ?

No i dont play in my language and even if i wanted to, i can not because the dutch language is no option, and even if it was open i would not use it.
most people speak englisch and if your englisch is not verry good then even better you can learn it playing the game.

Right, the question is not so clear actually.

I wanted to know how many players were using one of the non-english languages proposed.


So far, 100% of voters answered they prefer to use the english version.

(I hope that MA does not use too many people working on these translation tasks. Of course I am not responsible if these people get unemployed soon. )

i play in my langauge but thats english so .... i guess im not really part of this poll

All terms, names and all the rest have their names for quite a while now. So when talking to somebody in english and you run your localized version there may be a situation where you see something on your screen in your own language and you have no clue how to translate that. Well, "that blue thing" or something may work but only to a certain extent. Probably the other person will tell you the english name of that but you'd definitely won't write that down. In other words some minutes or days later you end up with the same problem. "Duh, what was that called again?" (thought in your own language of course ).

And also I'm not sure what actually got translated and what not. So you may end up with a mixture anyway. And switch-thinking in languages back and forth isn't everybody's favourite.

I don't know too much about other forums in other languages but I guess the majority still uses forums which are based on english even though it's not their mother tongue. Well, this includes me .

So basically it just comes naturally and I'm not surprised that the vast majority (currently 100% of this poll) prefer the english version.

I am fluent in Spanish, Itailian and English. Only used the English version. Might check out the other versions soon though and see how the grammar works out

I'm swedish and even if Swedish language would be a option I wouldn't use it cuz I love english it ROCKzzzzz

plus i should add, localized version should only be the description of items (as there is no trade or discussion on these)

I'm using english (got used to it in all games), so i wouldn't switch even if i could to my own language.
