Question: Urban Legend - Focus Bubbles and Lag?

Does having a focus bubble cast on you cause you to lag? Is this true or just an urban legend?

Years ago (at least 2.5 years back) they did actually lag if there were a lot of them around, hence the name "lag bubbles".
However today if you have just a little capable computer it won't lag. The name "lag bubble" has been used ever since though.

it sucks for teamhunting, since the bubble will make you target a teammate instead of a mob.
It doesn't lag, 80 sweaters at nea's do lag though...

Fair enough. But be warned - if you travel to Nea's or the Swamp Camp odds are you getting Focused. Just accept it now and you'll be happier later.

Agreed... it was my pathetic laptop that could not handle it.

Agreed... new rig can handle it easily, I just don't like it

Agreed again... once I finish my business at either place, I simply relog and bubble are gone.

Actually, this gives me an idea. Why doesn't MA make it so when you teleport the focus bubble is removed?

If you want to teamhunt at nea's for example, it can be anoying shooting your mates bubble instead of an ambu (yes the bubble counts as player body). So plz to focusses, if you see someone in armor holding a gun tp'ing into nea's don't focus them, they won't like it. Save your focus bubbles for sweaters really, they can use it.

That would be fine with me... if you are near a large mob a quicker way to remove the bubbles is to die
