Crytek are currently working on another Crysis game Crysis Warhead set for a winter 2008 release and have managed to slash the optimal system requirements for CE2 drastically.
From a PC games magazine: Quote:
I dont know how how their license for CE2 works. Maybe Crytek will share some of their new knowledge on the engine or even let MA use some of the modifyed code. If not I guess it's down to the MA team to figure it out themselves, but with all the other ongoing EU updates to work on, is this just wishful thinking? A lot of concern has been raised about the performance of CE2 powered EU on players existing systems. Hopefully this news will ease fears slightly, knowing that their performance in Crysis is unlikely to reflect future EU performance. Plus as time goes on we should be able to crank the details up as MA refine the engine more. I hope this post is ok with the moderators, please pm me if you want me to edit it. Please keep any replys on dicussion of EU. |

I just bought a new entry level dell.. Althon X2 4400+; ATI 2600 XT 256MB; 3GB of RAM, for a grand total of €313 + vat (I reclaimed the vat
)I tried the crysis demo on medium settings and is better than my old xp3000+ 256MB fx5600, and 1GB ram was on entropia, so I'm crytropia ready on basic settings, I think. ![]() |
