EU - Linux Issue

Alright, I'm fed up. I need Entropia to work on Linux ASAP.

The thread that I frequented resolved nothing for me so far. Its all cluttered with too many posts, and its hard to search through for my problem.

I am having just one little problem now, and its making me confused.

Hey man, thanks alot... I went to the winetricks site there and that really helped out. Installing the programs was rather easy, someone should make a new thread. I just need to install EU after this.

Edit: Alright, this shit is really starting to get to me.

When I go to install Entropia Universe, before it opens anything it just brings up an error saying -

Runtime Error!
Program: C:\program files\mindark\entropia universe\clientloader.exe

ugh, I just want it to work. >_< I wont give a shit about Linux anymore if this really doesn't work out for me. :/

I think it has something to with one of the vcrun2005 file things. :/ I went inside of the EU folder and opened that one C++ thing and it installed everything. But it still doesn't work. *cries* Someone help, asap?

See Wine's appdb (just google for entropia wine appdb)
for a few tips. I couldn't get it working myself, but I didn't try too hard.
One or two folks there do have it working, maybe you can follow their
recipe.

The last person I knew that had EU running under linux didnt use wine at all - they used Cedega and a front end for it called "point2play" - at least I think that was what the front end was called...Been a while..I am no longer in contact with them - so I cant ask them - google it to find out more..
