Disconnect on minimize

I get disconnected when looking up something on the forums.

This would be OK after maybe 5min or so but 1-2 minutes is too fast.

I have no connection problems at all.

Hoping this is due to how windows is treating the window, because if EU is doing this on purpose, its just lame.

Suggestion: Play in Windows mode - you don't disconnect so quickly as with Full Screen mode.

I thought about that, this would probably work but screen space is already limited on a 1680x1050 due to the oversized interface.

Hoping to find a resolution for this in full screen.

Entropia's client is pretty weird about disconnects. I read in an old review that when it first came out you could not minimize it at all.

Maybe you need dual monitors. One for EF and one for Entropia I have a laptop I use to read the forums while participating.

3D Analyze might be what you need. I use it rather than the EU Windows mode and it runs perfectly, allowing me to switch between my browser and EU without any disconnects other than normal inactivity auto log out.

i really cant think what you are try to do that this isnt a solution
running in windowed mode works just fine, of course you cant have both side by side without a huge desktop, but you have to switch focus anyway so its not really an issue.

I'm looking at 3d analyze now. The current (b) and older release versions are crashing when I hit launch, maybe not working with my 8800GT, not sure yet.

For those of you who think the whole issue is me, well it is a preference, true. I'm very picky about software, I've been playing with computers for quite some time and I know a bit about coding. When I see things like this it makes me mad that a little more effort has not gone into smoothing the application. In this case it is probably some knuckleheads coders idea of a joke to disconnect you if you are not playing for 30s while looking up what in the world to do with all the sweat dripping outta inventory. Another example, I'm unable to move the auction window, and its position makes it impossible to see info panels at the same time. I've played 320x200 games that made better use of the screen space, why should I have to use 2 monitors? But it is a moot point with the new engine comming.. and i digress....

I'll be back to check for posts and post about what I found about 3d analyze.
