What to do when u uninstal old drivers and instal lastes,picture still freeze sometime when I join in game ,I must restart my comp to often because of not responding,is it problem in graphic card ??to buy new one??and wich one doing good job if it is...

When I totally uninstall old video drivers I start in safe mode, and use the driver's uninstaller from Add/Remove Programs (if it includes one), otherwise, still in Safe Mode, I use Computer Management console and uninstall the device (video adapter) from there.

After that, reboot and install new drivers, reboot again, and enjoy.

If you're having issues with lockups:

1. Check your GPU and CPU temperatures.
2. Test your RAM
3. Inspect your video card for swollen or leaking capacitors.
4. Inspect your motherboard fo swollen or leaking capacitors.

What do bad capacitors look like?
Like this:


They should be flat on the top, not bulging or swollen. If they are, they're bad.
They should also not appear split, or have any sort of crusty goo on them. If they do, they're bad.
They may have some dust on them - computers are dust magnets. I recommend removing that dust, but that's not a sign of a bad cap.

If capacitors are the problem:

If you've got warranty, it's time to cash it in. Get the bad part replaced.
If you don't have warranty:
1. Replace the failed part(s)
2. If you're good with a soldiering iron and can read the voltage and farads on the capacitor, you *can* replace them be desoldiering and resoldiering them with replacement caps. I don't recommend this unless you're very familiar with how to do it and how set heat sinks so your soldiering iron doesn't bake any other components.

well I have all posibility that play entropia(1Gb of ram,3.2 procesor,250 hard disck,graphic card Ati Radeon x1550 series 512mb)just at ones first i was have some bugs like dont see ppl ,then later my picture freeze when i join in game and I must restart my comp,and have a lot of problems ,my pc isnt responding sometimes,I was remove old driver and instal new and its same problem ,I also resive some messege about that graphic acelerator dont responde graphic driver comands so I was think that is problem is my graphic card or I just must instal something else?

Well, first and foremost, the invisible player is actually a bug with Entropia, it's been well documented on this forum. Search for invisible avatar. We're still waiting on a fix from MA on that.

As for freezes and lockups, like Indigo said, you're most likely candidate is either bad RAM or a bad video card.

You can test the RAM by running Memtest, which can be found through Google. Alternately, you can download the Ubuntu Linux which automatically boots and Memtest is one of the utilities that you can run from the boot menu.

Do you get lockups in all games or just PE?

ATI drivers can be a painful thing at times ... *shudders*

Anyhow, give the Omega ATI drives a go and see if it fixes your problem,
They are somewhat more stable than the ATI released versions
(They are based on the most stable components from ATI)

PS. Also disable AA in your driver setup and also in the options menu on the client loader. This can cause those freezes with some ATI drivers.

That's a good suggestion, I will not run ATI anymore because of the drivers. Unfortunately, Nvidia is beginning to slide to the same level.

I've heard good things about the Omega drivers.

i was locking uyp alot about a month ago then i upgraded my RAM from 1 gig to 3 gigs and now i never lock up...
