Well the new computer arrived at 11:30 am today. Got it all unboxed. Took pics for you all to drool over. Connetcted it all up. And

HOLY FRIGGIN CRAP BATMAN!!!

The game may loot like shit, it may play like shit (until today) but OMG I did not realise how much they changed and what it looks like Full on!!

Well done and well worth the wait. I eat my words.

New system is
Coolermaster 922 half tower Holding an Asus P6T mother board, a Thermaltake 850 watt PS. It has an i7 8 core proc at 2.66 mhz 12 gig ddr3 1600 triple channel memory and an Ati 5770 vid card with a gig of dd5 mem on it. I am niow also on a docsys 3.0 cable modem with a 22 mbs connection.
If I see ANY lagg it their fault now 8=}}

So far I have run evrything at high with shaders at very high. I wanna slowly raise settings after a break in period so I can watch heat and learn the system better as it has been stabily OC'd to 3.9 mhz under heavy load tests.

Its a modded version of Ibuypower.com' s 2010 Paladin DR I series.

As for comfort I have the office chair thats got my joysticks for flight / mech sims hard mounted to it along with the track ball. Its worked fine for over 2 years so far. If that gets uncomfortable with my back I just slide the chair over and sit in the lazy boy behind it. I have a tendency to fall alseep while my ava is walking against walls that way tho.

looks like i have to buy a better graphics card

the overclocking is pretty useless, atleast atm, i have same processor
without oc and ati radeon 4870x2 and run most settings on very high
without lag

Please post some screenies from yor machine. Would be nice to compare your view with mine. I did only invest 100€ in a new Graphic card and can play everything on full.

Here are a few screenies I got just before the log off just now.

Only way to get them is in windowed mode since full screen only shows black screen.

It does not do them justice in windowed mode. Also these are at all high settings except shaders are at very high. I was stress testing the system a bit as I went. Had many open programs running + internet to see if I could force lagg. Ill do more at max setting once I can figure how to get full screen view without shareware programs.

I used to play on VU 10 on my laptop because my "main" pc decided to die, sort of ...


however I bought some new stuff to it and everything works amazing on High settings and it is such a huge difference.... Nice to see that someone else found out the same way it is 2 different....universes...
