The problem is Intel integrated graphics. I have older model and Im lucky I have at least gray avtarars despite my craphic card should be able to handle shader 2.0.
SO main reason is that MA will support only graphic cards from nVidia and ATI .... they dont bother with notebooks and Intel :-\

so is there nothing at all that can be done? is there an external graphics card, some sort of software that will do the same thing, nothing? anybody? like, i wouldnt even mind seeing grey, like, problem is that i can not see the items, so i cannot put on the armour, etc....

Actually there is something like an external grafics card, but that requires some special connector at your Computer / Notebook and I'm not sure if it's really available on the market yet.

Sumarize: The XG Station prolly won't come because Nvidia doesn't support the whole thing driver wise. :/

I can try to find something more maybe there is something else comparable to this thingy.

I'm just glad I got an AMD based Notebook with AMD / ATI GPU. =)

Well, maybe it's a solution, but I think it won't help.
I ran 3D analyzer UNTILL VU 9.0; and it prevented bad crashing of EU on my system.
But once VU 9.0 arrived, I found out that EU actually worked better out of the box, withoug 3D analyzer.
I've been experimenting with 3D analyzer though, because I hoped it could help me to get rid of those nasty grey avatars and items; but none of the combinations I tried improved the view. And believe me, I tried virtually everything, even the gamemode for LOTR ;-)

Oh, and a usefull sidenote: I used 3D analyzer 3.2.4 instead of 3.2.6; because the newest (also rather old) version doesn't seem to like EU or vice versa; so wouldn't work at all.

From the variety of configs shown here, I think:

1. Intel integrated chips=crap
2. It seems there are also a number of bugs in the programming of the game.

I play EU on 2 old systems: a laptop - ATI Radeon 9700 and a desktop with ATI AIW 9600; never had any problems.

well..... you can play as a crafter, which is what i do at the moment.....
a solution of sorts I suppose.... but to solve the problem it seems that the conclusion at the moment (for the "men-in-black" problem) is to spend money as you say....

I got excited when I saw the topic..Since my name is Gray..figured someone saw me...oh well..back to topic..
