After many PM's about my software Autoscreen,
I have now put the software to be downloaded for everyone.

Autoscreen will take automatically screenshots when you global / Hof
and can also replace the "printscreen" button and store images in
the folder you specify, in 3 different formats (jpg, png or bmp).

Option to change text color
Some people that have lesser bright screens, have had problem reading
the black text labels. So a function to change label color can now be found under the new Option Menu.

Option to turn off tray icon info message
You can now turn off the info window that apears in the system tray, about Autoscreen running.

Errorhandling
If any errors happens in the program code, the error date and time, errormessage and the watermark text will be posted in Autoscreen database, so that I can easier see problems that people may have.

2008.01.16 - Version 1.4.2.3 Uploaded

- Corrected a minor bug where you had to activate date and time in watermark, for the watermark text to show. Watermark text now goes into the image without having to enable the date and time in watermark. Thanks for pointing this out Spin Rep.

- Added a news ticker where Autoscreen info will show

New URL for Autoscreen website
Autoscreen have moved to another server and you can find it at Autoscreen > Home

There will be some updating on that portal in the next days, but you can allready go there and download Autoscreen if you do not allready have it.

New function for Image verification (checksum)
Autoscreen now saves all screenshot checksums to an online database.
This means that instead of using the email function for event organizers, you can just download a screenshot from EF that is taken with Autoscreen, then use the function "File checksum calculation with database lookup" under the "Action" menu. The function will give you a messagebox with the image checksum and a message from the database, telling if the image is an original or modified image. (remember that only screenshots taken with this version and up will be in the database).

Script for sending C & P edited
Some had a problem after using this function, that their keyboard and mouse acted weird. This seems to be because of some logitech drivers and the problems could be solved my just pressing the ALT key. So I have included a ALT key press in the script to fix the logitech problem.

Restart your Autoscreen to get the new update and if you dont have Autoscreen yet or you are using an old version that does not auto update, goto Autoscreen > Home to download Autoscreen.

- Coordinates and date/time in screenshots
- SMTP port option for event organizer mail
- Fixed so that screenshot is only taken of the active window

Coordinates and date/time in screenshots
You now have an option to include coordinates and date/time in auto screenshots and when you take screenshots by using prnt screen button.
A delay option is also made for the prnt screen button, to secure that coordinates and date/time is printed before the screenshot is taken.

SMTP port option for event organizer mail
Some have problems getting the mails to the event organizer through.
This is probably because the SMTP port is being blocked by the ISP,
so I have added an option to choose from different SMTP ports.
Please read the instructions to see what valid SMTP ports can be used.

Fixed so that screenshot is only taken of the active window
When getting globals or hof's with the auto function, the whole screen was taken in the screenshot, this should now be fixed.

As always, Autoscreen does not integrate with EU in any way.

Restart Autoscreen to recieve the updates automatically or download the .zip file from Autoscreen

JPEG smart quality
With this new function you can set a max file limit size for the screenshots.
This can be very usefull when you want to upload your screenshots to EF or similar, where there are limits on the file size. Then you don't have to resize the screenshots before uploading.

Also this should be used for the event function.
If images are beeing resized after a screenshot has been taken (in event modus), the unique image code that are being sendt to the event organizer, will not be the same as the upload (since file checksum changes if you resize with photoshop etc.) and the image that are uploaded will then look like it's been modified.

Instructions window changed
Changed the instruction window from being 'ontop' to regular.
The window can now be keept open while doing settings in Autoscreen main window.

2008.01.04 - Version 1.4.0.0 Uploaded

First, thank you Jimmy B for moving this thread and making it a sticky

This update contains a function made to use with events, to verify the originality of screenshots.

A new option called "Send image checksum to event organizer" has been added. When this option is activated a text box appears, in this textbox the event organizer email address needs to be put in.

Now when a user presses printscreen in game, screenshot will be stored as usually, but in addition an email will be sendt to the event organizer.
This email will contain the unique file checksum of the image stored.

This checksum can then be used by the event organizers to secure that uploaded images to EF, have not been modified using Photoshop or similar.

If the image have been tampered with, the checksum will be different from what was sendt to the event organizer.

So in an event where screenshots are used to find a winner, the event organizer can download the winners images, open Autoscreen and from the 'Actions menu, choose 'File checksum calculation'.

A file dialog will open and when the image file is selected, an messagebox will show with the image checksum value.

If this checksum value is different from the checksum the event organizer have recieved via email, then the image is a fake.

The watermark text that the user have put into Autoscreen will also be sendt to the event organizer. This can be used so that the event organzier can easier control who the mail is sendt from. Users should use their EF name in that textbox to make it easier.

If you have a newer version of Autoscreen, just restart the application a few times and the update should download and install automatically.

2007.11.04 - Version 1.3.2.2 Uploaded

- Temporary removed the skin choice option to fix a startup bug
- Added a drag function so you can move Autoscreen around on the
screen, just click and hold mouse anywhere on the form (not on the menu).
- Autoscreen will not stay on top of other windows anymore
- If an error occurs with Autoscreen, you will get an question if you would like Autoscreen to send me an email with the error details.

The skinning function will be fixed very soon

A small update with a function many have been asking about

- added autostart at windows startup option

Restart Autoscreen to get the update.

2007.06.12 - Version 1.3.1.4 Uploaded

Another update uploaded, trying to get some things of the wish list

- Option to resize image to desired size on storing, have been added.
- An option to disable the "store images in date folders" have also been added.
- Fixed so that delay don't have to be filled in on disabled sounds.
- Instructions on website and in Autoscreen have been updated to explain the new functions. If you have disabled the instructions, you can open it from the "Info" meny.

Update will be installed automatically when you restart Autoscreen.

Reminder:
If you are running an older version, it will not update.
This because older version will not work with the new update system. You can recognize the older version, if your Autoscreen program have the yellow banner for mpogd voting, you need to uninstall Autoscreen and download the new version HERE, if you want the updated Autoscreen.

- browse buttons for sound files now take you directly to the sound folder, if you have EU installed in default location.

2007.06.05 - Version 1.3.1.0

Just uploaded a new and improved version of Autoscreen.

You will have to uninstall the old version and then download the .zip file from Autoscreen web page. This because also the update function have been redesigned, to make updates faster and easier later on. All your old settings should be stored, so you don't have to put them in again.

- Collects all globals, hof's and skill hof's in date folders for easier to find your screens later on.
- Auto activate Autoscreen on program startup.
- Smaller water mark on images
- Improved to grab globals and hof's better

Also a an option to have globals and hofs in different sub folders will be added in the next days, so make sure you download the newest version now.

How to proceed:

- Go into Control panel, then Add/Remove Programs
- Locate Autoscreen and remove the application
- Go to iencoders there you find a link to autoscreen download page
- Download the .zip file and unpack it
- Start the program called setup.exe and Autoscreen will be installed

All your previous settings should be automatically put in, so you don't need to do all the settings again, if you have run Autoscreen before.

I would like to thank Nakia so much for redesigning of iEncoders.com and she is still working on the site to make it look even better. So if you need any graphics's done, you know who to contact (Nakia Design)

As far as I can see it should be triggered when the system opens the global or hof sound files. Wondering what happens if you are standing next to crafters like buzz, because when they global/hof the sound is also played.

Yes it will take screen shots then also.
Like it is now, there is no way to prevent this, but I'm looking into a solution to use OCR to check if it's really you that global / hof, by checking the chat text.

Wouldn't that require a screenshot ?
Not very logical to make a screenshot to determine if you need to make a screenshot or not.

An other way would be to intercept the communication from the gameserver and filter and interprete the packets for that message, but that is not allowed according to the eula afaik.
