Help: Scanner not showing items anymore?

Ok, so now, when I scan folks, I no longer read what weapon/fap/item they're holding. Just their clothing is listed anymore.

I've tried this many times and many places to make sure it wasn't me.

Guess another way for MA to reduce lag.

EDIT: CRIKEY! I meant for the title to read "Scanner". Mods please change if possile. Thanks.

heh, JC, don't feel too badly about the mistake.

Made me look to see what you were talking about.

I have noticed the same thing myself, when I try and scan the new weapons folks are using. VERY annoying!

Yup, it is one of the main actually useful things scanners did!!! Makes you think why even have a scanner

Well, skills are nice... and knowing a bit about creatures is nice... but what if you want to know what weapon a guy has, or what the item is like? Can not do it anymore

That would be interesting.. But i think they would have announced it if they changed it..

Can someone with uber scan human skills tell us?

i noticed this today when i tried to see what tool somone had and if you ask me it really is the only reason to use a scanner hope thay fix it soon

Yep, that was what I use a scanner for 90% of the time, since so many weapons look identical - like the S30 and X5 for example - but have very different damage.

It's a lot quicker and easier to scan an ava to see the stats on a weapon than it is to ask if they would be kind enough to put it into a trade window and then right click on it.

Although that does save on scanner decay
